Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said Monday that Jordy Mercer will receive the bulk of the playing time at shortstop moving forward.
Advice: Clint Barmes began the year as the starter, but he's batting a pathetic .198/.231/.265 through 54 games this season. Meanwhile, Mercer has been productive when given the opportunity. The 26-year-old doesn't project as a long-term piece, but he's worth owning in NL-only leagues for now.
