    • Brett Myers (elbow) will make at least one more rehab start.
Advice: Myers' velocity was down on Wednesday in his second rehab outing with Double-A Akron, and he walked four while allowing three runs over 4 1/3 frames. Assuming his velocity comes back up the next time out, he could rejoin the Indians' rotation after that.

    • Brett Myers (elbow) will make his second minor league rehab start on Wednesday at Double-A Akron.
Advice: Myers threw 33 pitches last week in his first rehab start and will probably try to top 50 pitches on Wednesday. He'll make at least one more start in the minors after that before being considered for activation. The right-hander is attempting to pitch through a UCL tear.

    • Justin Verlander allowed five runs over five innings but earned the win Wednesday as the Tigers beat the Indians.
Advice: Verlander had to work for his fifth win, needing 110 pitches to get through five. He gave up 10 hits, including a home run, but was aided by his team putting up nine runs in the same span. It marks the third-straight start in which Verlander has been less-than-great, seeing his ERA rise from 1.55 to 3.66 since May 5. There's still little reason to worry, though, and he'll take the mound again Monday against the Pirates.

    • Mike Puma of the New York Post was told by a high-ranking team official that prospect right-hander Zack Wheeler is expected make 2-3 more starts with Triple-A Las Vegas before joining the Mets.
Advice: That would place his major league debut somewhere around June 6 or 11, which would leave the Mets safe from any concerns about eventual Super Two status. Wheeler returned to action Wednesday after a recent collarbone issue and allowed three runs in five innings. The 22-year-old has a 3.99 ERA and 49/20 K/BB ratio in 48 1/3 innings across eight starts this season. He's worth stashing in deeper mixed leagues at this point.

    • Zack Wheeler allowed three runs in five innings Wednesday for Triple-A Las Vegas in his return to action.
Advice: Cleared of his recent clavicle issue, it was his first start since May 11. Wheeler threw a total of 67 pitches and allowed five hits and two walks while striking out two. He also hit a batter. Given the long layoff, the results shouldn't be taken too critically. Still, the Mets want to see another solid string of starts before he is called up to the majors. We're still guessing he'll be up in mid-June.

    • Michael Brantley went 3-for-5 with three RBI in the Indians' loss to the Tigers on Wednesday.
Advice: Brantley did all his damage with three singles, bringing his RBI count to 24 and his batting average to .309 in the process. And the left fielder is 7-for-16 (.438) in his last four games with nine RBI in those 16 at-bats. Advice: The longball came in the second inning off of Felix Hernandez. It's just the second homer of the season for Brantley, who was hitting third in the batting order. The outfielder has now driven in 19 while hitting .301 as he quietly puts together a nice season.

Advice: Ruf is batting .263/.341/.431 with five home runs and 23 RBI in 42 games this year at the Triple-A level. Eaton, who was diagnosed with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in March, began playing in rehab games earlier this month and felt well enough to return to center field last week.
