    • Evan Phillips nets seventh save Thursday vs. Nats
Evan Phillips struck out two in a perfect ninth inning on Thursday against the Nationals to record his seventh save of the season.

Advice: Phillips was called upon to guard a one-run lead in the ninth inning and needed just 14 pitches (10 strikes) to slam the door for the second time in the brief three-game series. The 29-year-old righty has converted each of his seven save opportunities this season to go along with a microscopic 0.84 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 13/4 K/BB ratio across 10 2/3 innings (11 appearances). • Absent from lineup again
Yoshida is out of the lineup for Thursday's game in Cleveland.

Advice: Red Sox manager Alex Cora insisted prior to Wednesday's game against the Guardians that Yoshida was still the team's everyday designated hitter. However, he's now out of the lineup for a third straight contest and for the sixth time in eight games, with all but one of those absences coming versus righties. Rafael Devers will start at DH again Thursday as he comes back from a knee issue, and Yoshida presumably will be back in the lineup once Devers is ready to return to third base. Clearly, the club has little faith in Yoshida's glove, as he's played just one inning in left field this season. Rotowire.com Today, 8:11 am
    • Still out Thursday
Fraley (illness) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Though Jonathan India will rejoin the lineup as the Reds' designated hitter following a four-game absence due to an illness, Fraley will stick on the bench for a sixth consecutive contest while he's had a slower recovery from an ailment of his own. According to Mark Sheldon of MLB.com, manager David Bell relayed Wednesday that Fraley has been showing improvement, so the Reds are seemingly hopeful that the 28-year-old outfielder will return to action at some point during the weekend series versus the Rangers. • Picks up save No. 9
Suarez earned a save against the Rockies on Wednesday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning.

Advice: Suarez needed just seven pitches (five of which were strikes) to set the Rockies down in order and preserve a three-run San Diego victory. The right-hander extended his streak of scoreless outings to nine and lowered his sterling ERA to 0.77. Suarez has been one of the league's best closers so far this season with nine saves (tied for first in MLB). Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:43 pm
    • Spencer Turnbull strong for five in no-decision
Spencer Turnbull turned in five innings of one-run ball and struck out eight Wednesday against the Reds.

Advice: It was another sterling effort from Turnbull, but since Taijuan Walker is back, it might have been his final start for a while. The Phillies just aren’t prepared to make a change there, even though Turnbull has a 1.33 ERA in five starts. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:57 pm
    • Strikes out eight Wednesday
Turnbull didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against Cincinnati, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: It was another strong effort from Turnbull, who set a season high with eight strikeouts while allowing just one run on a Will Benson solo homer in the third inning. Turnbull has been exceptional to start the year, going 2-0 with a 1.33 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 30:10 K:BB through 27 innings. Still, with Taijuan Walker (shoulder) returning from the IL, Turnbull will head to the bullpen in an effort to manage his innings. The right-hander figures to be first in line should the Phillies need help in the rotation later this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:59 pm
    • Robert Suarez locks down ninth save vs. Rockies
Robert Suarez struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to secure the save against the Rockies.

Advice: Suarez was given a three-run lead to protect in the ninth inning. He worked quickly, striking out one batter and closing it out on seven pitches for his league-leading ninth save of the season. The 33-year-old right-hander holds a 0.77 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and a 10/4 K/BB ratio across 11 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:10 pm
    • Luis Arraez posts three hits in loss to Braves
Luis Arraez went 3-for-5 with a run scored on Wednesday in the Marlins’ extra-inning loss to the Braves.

Advice: Just like that, Arraez is batting .299 (32-for-107) after notching his seventh multi-hit performance in the last two weeks. He sparked Miami’s ninth-inning rally against Braves stopper Raisel Iglesias with a leadoff single to cap off a three-hit effort. He’s in the midst of an extended hot streak at the moment and it wouldn’t be surprising at all if he were back in the batting title race in a few weeks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm

    • Reynaldo López twirls seven-inning gem vs. Fish
Reynaldo López allowed one run over seven innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Marlins.

Advice: López authored yet another dominant performance, this time against a floundering Marlins lineup, piling up six strikeouts and only allowing five baserunners over seven frames. Yet, he was forced to settle for a no-decision after Atlanta’s bullpen coughed up a two-run lead in the ninth inning. The 30-year-old converted reliever has been a revelation this season, allowing one earned run or fewer and completing six frames in four consecutive starts to kick off his Braves debut. He’ll bring a microscopic 0.72 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 24/8 K/BB ratio across 25 innings (four starts) into a road tilt on Tuesday against the Mariners in Seattle. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:30 pm
