    • Bailey Falter leaves start with arm discomfort
The Pirates announced that Bailey Falter was removed from Saturday’s start against the Mets due to left posterior arm discomfort.

Advice: He’s currently being evaluated and treated by the Pirates’ medical team. Despite the vagaries of the diagnosis, anything related to the arm isn’t encouraging. The 27-year-old’s southpaw next start should be in question at a minimum and it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see him land on the injured list. The Pirates should have more information on his status at some point before Sunday’s series finale. Rotoworld 9 minutes ago

    • Battling arm discomfort
Falter was removed from his start Saturday against the Mets due to left posterior arm discomfort.

Advice: Falter was only able to get through two innings before making an early exit, surrendering three earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two batters. The Pirates' medical staff will take him in for further testing, and the team will likely have a better idea of his availability for his next start once his results come back. • Bailey Falter pulled in third with apparent injury
Bailey Falter was pulled from Saturday’s start against the Mets in the third inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: Falter delivered five straight balls in the third inning — including a walk of J.D. Martinez to load the bases — which prompted a visit from the training staff. After a quick consultation, the decision was made to remove Falter from the ballgame. He’ll head for further evaluation. Expect the Pirates to provide an update on his status before the game concludes. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago

    • Logan O’Hoppe drives in two runs Saturday
Logan O’Hoppe went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored in the Angels’ 7-0 win against the Cubs on Saturday.

Advice: O’Hoppe was hit by a pitch in the first inning, then knocked a base hit to drive in a run in the third before scoring on a throwing error. He was credited with another RBI on a groundout in the fourth, then reached for a third time with a double in the eighth. The 24-year-old backstop is slashing an excellent .279/.331/.473 with 12 homers and 40 RBI across 285 plate appearances. Rotoworld 59 minutes ago

    • Oneil Cruz batting eighth Saturday vs. southpaw
Oneil Cruz is batting eighth on Saturday against the Mets.

Advice: It’s the lowest Cruz has batted in Pittsburgh’s lineup in quite some time as he’s been dropped down with lefty David Peterson on the mound for New York on Saturday afternoon. The 25-year-old shortstop has shown some signs of life lately, batting .292 (7-for-24) with one homer and one steal over his last seven games. Rotoworld Today, 9:00 am

    • Jose Altuve out Saturday with left hand contusion
Jose Altuve (hand) is absent from the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Twins.

Advice: The positive news here for fantasy managers is that X-rays came back negative after Altuve was hit by a pitch on the left hand during Friday’s game against the Twins. The 34-year-old veteran second baseman is day-to-day for now and will get some extra time off this weekend to rest and recover. It sounds like there’s a possibility he’ll return for Sunday’s series finale at Target Field. Rotoworld Today, 8:41 am

    • Sitting down Saturday
Altuve (hand) isn't in the Astros' lineup for Saturday's game against the Twins, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Altuve was diagnosed with a left hand contusion after getting hit by a pitch during Friday's contest. He'll get a day off Saturday in order to heal while Mauricio Dubon starts at second base and bats seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 8:37 am

    • Reaches four times, goes deep
Greene went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double and a solo home run in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: Greene has been hot lately, as he's riding a four-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 8-for-16 with two home runs. He's up to 17 long balls this season, which is already a new career high. The 23-year-old Greene appears to be having his breakout, so fantasy managers should enjoy the ride as long as the young outfielder stays healthy. Rotowire.com Today, 6:35 am

    • Josh Hader gives up grand slam before earning save
Josh Hader recorded his 15th save despite giving up a grand slam to one of the two batters he faced in the ninth Friday against the Twins.

Advice: Carlos Correa hit the slam to make it a 13-12 game, but Hader then struck out Manuel Margot to end it. The homer was the seventh allowed by Hader in 39 innings, but since none of the runners on base belonged to him, his ERA only slightly increased to 3.92. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:53 pm
