    Alvarez was removed from Friday's game against the Dodgers with an apparent left hand injury, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: Alvarez stumbled while rounding first base during the top of the second inning and appeared to jam his left thumb while trying to regain his footing. He remained in the game to run the bases and eventually came around to score, but he was replaced behind the dish by Omar Narvaez once the Mets' defense took the field.     Adley Rutschman went 3-for-5 with a grand slam in a 9-4 loss by the Orioles to the Royals on Friday.

    Advice: With the Orioles trailing 6-0, Rutschman got the Orioles back into the game with a bases-loaded blast off Will Smith in the seventh inning.     Travis d’Arnaud hit three homers to drive in six runs and power the Braves past the Rangers 8-3 on Friday.

    Advice: There weren’t any cheapies either, as d’Arnaud’s homers were projected at 429, 440 and 433 feet. With a chance at a fourth in the bottom of the eighth, d’Arnaud grounded out against Austin Pruitt. It’s d’Arnaud’s second career three-homer game, the other coming with the Rays in 2019.
