    • Control wavers Wednesday
Fried came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Astros, giving up three runs on seven hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: The southpaw also uncorked a wild pitch and tossed only 52 of his 96 pitches for strikes, continuing a somewhat shaky start to the season. Fried has managed only one quality start in his four trips to the mound, and while his 7.71 ERA and 1.96 WHIP will come down, his 12:9 K:BB through 16.1 innings has been far from dominant. He'll try to get on track in his next outing, which lines up for a home start against the Marlins early next week. Rotowire.com 41 minutes ago
    • Swipes bag in win
Swanson went 2-for-5 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Playing against the team that drafted him first overall back in 2015, Swanson notched his first multi-hit performance in 12 days. The shortstop hasn't really gotten going yet, as he's batting just .235 with two home runs and two stolen bases across 18 games. However, Swanson is at no real risk of losing playing time, and he has the talent to heat up in a hurry. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:19 pm
    • Three hits, homer in win
Soto went 3-for-3 with a homer, a double, two total RBI and a pair of walks in Wednesday's 6-4 comeback victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Soto got the Yankees on the board with a two-out double in the fifth inning, cutting Toronto's lead to 2-1, before smacking a solo homer off Genesis Cabrera in the eighth for the 500th RBI of his career. The 25-year-old Soto has gotten off to a great start in New York -- he's now batting .352 with a 1.055 OPS, four homers and 17 RBI through his first 90 plate appearances this season. • Falls shy of quality start
Littell didn't factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing three runs on eight hits and no walks against the Angels. He struck out seven.

Advice: Although Littell didn't walk any batters and yielded merely three runs, he was pulled at 107 pitches without being able to complete six innings. He surrendered his first home run of the campaign, being tagged by Mike Trout for a solo homer in the first inning. Littell boasts a 2.14 ERA with a 22:5 K:BB across 21.0 innings and seems to be building off his 2023 showing with Tampa Bay when he logged a 3-6 record and a 3.93 ERA in 26 appearances (14 starts). He's tentatively scheduled to face the Tigers on Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:55 pm

    • Zack Littell strikes out seven in no-decision
Zack Littell allowed three runs with seven strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Angels on Wednesday.

Advice: Littell served up a solo homer to Mike Trout in the first inning to put the Angels on the board. He tossed three more scoreless frames before a pair of base hits brought a second run in. Two more hits in the sixth inning would make it three before Littell’s day was done. The 28-year-old right-hander struck out seven. He’ll take a 2.14 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and a 22/5 K/BB ratio across 21 innings into a home start against the Tigers next week. • Juan Soto posts three hits, homers in comeback win
Juan Soto went 3-for-3 with a solo homer and two RBI on Wednesday in the Yankees’ comeback win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Soto also drew a pair of walks, reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances in this one. The 25-year-old fantasy superstar put the Yankees on the scoreboard in the fifth inning with a run-scoring double off Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman before taking lefty reliever Génesis Cabrera deep for a solo shot -- his fourth big fly of the season -- in the eighth inning. He also drew a pivotal two-out walk in the ninth inning against lefty Tim Mayza to set up ensuing batter Aaron Judge’s go-ahead two-run single. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:32 pm
    • Takes loss, blown save vs. Royals
Kopech (0-2) blew a save and ultimately took the loss in Wednesday's opening game against Kansas City, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out one.

Advice: Called upon to protect a one-run lead in the eighth inning, Kopech gave up a one-out single to Bobby Witt before Salvador Perez launched a two-run homer, sticking Kopech with his first blown save and the loss. The right-hander has already earned a pair of multi-inning saves this season, so it's likely this was Chicago's intention again Wednesday. Overall, Kopech is 2-for-3 in save chances this year with a 3.48 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 15:6 K:BB through his first 10.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:59 pm
    • Max Fried surrenders three runs to Astros
Max Fried yielded three runs in five innings Wednesday against the Astros.

Advice: Fried wasn’t at his sharpest today in walking four and allowing seven hits, including a homer to Yordan Alvarez. He struck out just two. Fried was quite good last time out against the Marlins, but he has a 7.71 ERA and a 14/8 K/BB ratio over 16 1/3 innings total in his four starts. We assume he’ll get better, but this isn’t the Fried of old right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:56 pm
    • Earns third win
Kimbel (3-0) earned the win Wednesday against the Twins after he retired all three batters he faced in the ninth inning. He had one strikeout.

Advice: The veteran right-hander entered for the top of the ninth in a 2-2 tie and retired the side in order on 12 pitches, and he picked up the win when Cedric Mullins launched a walk-off homer in the bottom of the frame. Kimbrel allowed a run in his season debut but has since delivered seven straight scoreless appearances, and he has a 0.29 WHIP and 12:0 K:BB with four saves and two wins during that stretch.
