    • Bo Bichette (calf) expects to return when eligible
Bo Bichette (calf) is hopeful that he’ll return from the injured list when first eligible on Tuesday.

Advice: The 26-year-old shortstop took ground balls, hit in the batting cages and ran the bases with the team in Cleveland on Friday. As long as he avoids any setbacks over the weekend, anticipate his stint on the injured list to be as short as possible. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:10 pm

    • Resumes baseball activities
Bichette (calf) took ground balls, ran the bases and hit in the batting cages Friday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Bichette looks to be on track to return once eligible Tuesday, participating in baseball activities on Friday with the expectation of ramping up his workload over the weekend. While Bichette's been sidelined, Isiah Kiner-Falefa has been handling most of the shortstop work. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:59 pm

    • Bryson Stott sits against southpaw on Friday night
Bryson Stott is not in the Phillies’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: With left-hander Jordan Montgomery toeing the slab for the Diamondbacks, the Phillies will use it as an opportunity to give Stott a breather. Fellow left-handed hitters Brandon Marsh, David Dahl and Garrett Stubbs also find themselves on the pine for the start of this one. Edmundo Sosa will start in Stott’s place at second base and will bat sixth for the Phillies on Friday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:02 pm

    • Taking seat Wednesday
Rafaela is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: Rafaela will get his first day off since May 30, clearing the way for Romy Gonzalez to pick up a start in center field. Though he's cobbled together a modest .687 OPS for the season, Rafaela has been running hot of late at the dish, slashing .468/.490/.596 with four extra-base hits and two stolen bases over his last 12 games. • Sizzling bat continues in win
Rafaela went 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and an RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 win over Toronto.

Advice: Rafaela drove in the game-winning run with an eighth-inning single. The rookie's bat continues to sizzle; Rafaela has hit safely in seven consecutive games, including multiple hits in six of those contests. He's 16-for-26 (.615) with three doubles, a home run, two steals, four RBI and six runs scored during the streak. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:51 am

    • Rafaela has three-hit night in win over Blue Jays
Ceddanne Rafaela went 3-for-4 and a double and one RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The Red Sox’s No. 9 hitter came up big on Tuesday as his third hit drove in the go-ahead run to complete the comeback over the Jays. Rafaela has been hot of late, hitting in seven straight games while going 16-for-26 over that span. He’s slashing a solid .377/.406/.475 in June but continues to strike out at a high rate (32.8 percent) when he’s not getting on base. We’ll see how long this hot-hitting continues for the young centerfielder. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:44 pm

    • Lands on injured list
The Blue Jays placed Bichette on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 15, with a right calf strain.

Advice: The 26-year-old hasn't seen the field since Friday due to the calf issue and will be sidelined for at least another week after being diagnosed with a strain. According to Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca, manager John Schneider expects Bichette to return from the injured list when first eligible June 25. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is starting at shortstop Tuesday and could operate as Toronto's primary option there for the immediate future, and Orelvis Martinez was called up and should also see infield action while Bichette is sidelined. • Blue Jays place Bo Bichette on IL with calf strain
Blue Jays placed INF Bo Bichette on the 10-day injured list with a right calf strain.

Advice: Bichette has been dealing with soreness in his right calf, and rather than wait for the infielder to get ready and play short-handed, the Blue Jays will take precaution and place the star shortstop on the injured list. He’ll miss at least a week, but a more concrete timeline should be available shortly. In the meantime, Orelvis Martinez is taking Bichette’s place on the active roster. • Bo Bichette (calf) remains out of lineup vs. BOS
Bo Bichette (calf) is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Red Sox.

Advice: Bichette has not been able to play since Friday due to soreness in his right calf. The shortstop has reportedly made progress, but not enough to get him back in the lineup just yet. Isiah Kiner-Falefa gets another start at shortstop with Bichette out. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:07 pm
