    • Wins with quality start
Pivetta (4-4) allowed three runs on nine hits and a walk over seven innings Monday, striking out four and earning a win over Toronto.

Advice: Pivetta gave up one run through five frames before allowing solo homers to Justin Turner and Davis Schneider in the sixth and seventh innings, respectively. Pivetta is 2-0 with a 3.50 ERA in three starts this month after posting a disappointing 5.55 ERA in May. For the season, he owns a 3.88 ERA alongside a 59:14 K:BB through 10 starts. Pivetta's next start is projected to be in Cincinnati. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:39 pm

    • Goes deep in loss
Turner went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double, two runs scored and a walk in Monday's loss to Boston.

Advice: Turner scored Toronto's first run after drawing a walk in the second inning. He later ripped a solo shot in the sixth inning for his fifth home run of the year. He snapped a 33-game homerless drought, during which he slashed .155/.250/.191. Turner now owns a .691 OPS with 18 extra-base hits and 24 runs scored through 233 plate appearances. • Rafaela has two hits, home run in win Monday
Ceddanne Rafaela went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a solo home run against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Rafaela’s home run was his eighth of the season. Despite hitting ninth regularly, he’s up to 40 RBI on the season, which leads the team. Rafaela’s only hitting .243, but his counting numbers show he’s been a very productive player this year. Rotoworld Monday, 7:18 pm
    • Pivetta picks up fourth win against Blue Jays
Nick Pivetta allowed three runs in seven innings and got the win in the Red Sox’ 7-3 victory over the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Pivetta gave up nine hits, walked one and struck out four. It was his fourth win in 10 starts this season and he’s now won two of his last three starts. Pivetta allowed a sacrifice fly to Isiah Kiner-Falefa and solo home runs to Justin Turner and Davis Schneider, but that was it for the Toronto offense. His ERA is now 3.88 on the season. The 31-year-old right-hander is set to face the Reds on the road this weekend. Rotoworld Monday, 7:08 pm

    • On bench Monday
Yoshida (hand) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Yoshida was lifted from Sunday's 9-3 win over the Yankees in the seventh inning after being hit on the hand by a pitch, but his removal might have been precautionary more than anything. According to Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald, the lefty-hitting Yoshida's absence from the lineup Monday is a pre-planned decision, as the Blue Jays are bringing a lefty (Yusei Kikuchi) to the hill, and the Red Sox wanted to give outfielder Tyler O'Neill a day off from playing defense and instead use him as a designated hitter. Assuming his hand isn't bothering him, Yoshida should re-enter the lineup Tuesday, when the Red Sox are scheduled to face right-hander Chris Bassitt. Rotowire.com Monday, 2:50 pm
    • Could be available off bench Monday
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Bichette (calf) could be available off the bench for Monday's game against the Red Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Bichette is out of the lineup for the third consecutive game while he works his way back from a right calf injury, but Schneider suggested that the shortstop is trending in the right direction and is scheduled to do "more hitting, baserunning, agility stuff" during a pregame workout. If Bichette responds well to those activities, the Blue Jays could call on him to make a pinch-hitting appearance in Monday's contest. Even if the Blue Jays opt to stay away from Bichette for another day, he would still seem likely to avoid a trip to the injured list and could be back in the lineup as soon as Tuesday. • Nearing mound work
Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Romano (elbow) threw from 90-to-120 feet Monday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Advice: According to Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star, if Romano responds well to Monday's workout, he'll be cleared to throw off a mound Wednesday for the first time since landing on the 15-day injured list June 1 with right elbow inflammation. Since he's a closer who typically doesn't pitch more than an inning in his appearances, Romano won't require an extensive ramp-up period, but the Blue Jays will still likely want to send him out on a brief minor-league rehab assignment prior to activating him from the IL. Yimi Garcia has served as the Blue Jays' primary closer while Romano has been on the shelf, but Garcia is considered day-to-day with an elbow issue of his own. Chad Green appears to be next in line for saves out of the Toronto bullpen. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:41 pm

    • Bo Bichette (calf) works out prior to game
Bo Bichette is again out of Monday’s lineup with calf tightness, but he might be available off the bench.

Advice: That depends on how his on-field workout goes prior to the game. The Jays have Isiah Kiner-Falefa at short and Ernie Clement at third tonight. Rotoworld Monday, 1:16 pm

    • Held out again Monday
Bichette (calf) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Bichette will miss out on a third straight start as he battles a right calf injury. He had reported improvement with his condition Sunday, so Bichette should have a good chance at avoiding a stint on the injured list. In Bichette's continued absence Monday, Isiah Kiner-Falefa will start at shortstop again. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:37 pm
