Hoeing (hamstring) threw 2.2 innings in a rehab appearance for Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday and was seen with the team ahead of Tuesday's game against Boston, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Hoeing has completed five rehab outings with Jacksonville and has gone deeper than one inning in three straight appearances. USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reported that “the White Sox intend to trade [Garrett Crochet] by the July 30 trade deadline.”

Advice: According to Nightengale, the White Sox “quietly engaged in brief contract extension talks” with Crochet,” but there is “no optimism towards reaching an agreement,” so the team is now intent on moving him. As of now, the White Sox have allegedly had 15 teams call to express interest in Crochet, who is making just $800,000 and is under team control through 2026. Some potential concerns surrounding the left-hander are just how much he’ll pitch over the summer after having already thrown 21 more innings than his entire career total heading into this season. There are some additional concerns about whether “a team acquiring Crochet may have to offer a contract extension for him to lift those innings restrictions in the second half because of the potential of an injury risk.” We should get more clarity on Crochet’s market over the next couple of weeks, but he seems like a strong bet to be dealt. Stripling (elbow) is scheduled to face hitters in a live batting practice session Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Stripling will move on to the next phase of his rehab program after he completed a two-inning simulated bullpen session Saturday without incident. The 34-year-old has been on the shelf since May 25 with a right elbow flexor strain and will likely need at least one or two rehab starts before he's cleared to return from the 15-day injured list, most likely after the All-Star break. Kopech struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Sunday against the Rockies. The game was tied at the time, and the White Sox would go on to lose in 14 innings.

Advice: Kopech made his third appearance in four days after recording back-to-back saves June 27 and June 28. The right-hander delivered Sunday, retiring the side in order while striking out two batters on just eight pitches. Crochet came away with a no-decision in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies in 14 innings, striking out 11 over seven frames while allowing two earned runs on five hits and zero walks.

Advice: After Crochet had thrown 85 and 91 pitches in his prior two starts, White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Tuesday that the lefty's workload was "going to start dwindling" moving forward while the White Sox look to prioritize his long-term health. Even though he was mowing down the Colorado lineup for most of the afternoon, Crochet was still pulled after tossing 88 pitches and covering seven innings. If Crochet's pitch count continues to hover around the 85-to-90 range in his future starts, it could hurt his chances of coming away with wins, though he's notched only six wins through his first 18 starts while he's been supported by a weak White Sox lineup. Even so, Crochet remains a must-start fantasy option as long as he's active, as he's thus far provided elite ratios whenever he's taken the hill. The southpaw now owns a 3.02 ERA, a 0.93 WHIP and a league-leading 141 strikeouts over 101.1 innings this season. He's tentatively scheduled for a road start in Miami next weekend.
