    • CJ Abrams clobbers 12th homer in loss to Rockies
CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday in the Nationals’ loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Abrams socked a majestic fifth-inning solo homer to right field -- his 12th round-tripper of the season -- off Rockies starter Cal Quantrill as part of a three-hit effort. The 23-year-old burgeoning fantasy superstar has notched six hits, including one homer and one steal, in 10 at-bats over two games at Coors Field since returning from a brief absence earlier this week due to a cyst near his left wrist. It certainly doesn’t appear that the lingering issue is going to impact his on-field performance based on what we’ve witnessed over the last few days in Colorado. He holds an impressive .829 OPS with 12 homers and 11 steals through 68 contests this season as he continues to build off last year’s breakout campaign. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:21 am

    • Cruz blasts 10th home run in win Saturday
Oneil Cruz went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk and a solo home run against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Cruz’ home run was his 10th of the year. The solo shot came against Rays starter Zach Eflin in the first inning with two outs. It was Cruz’ first home run since June 8th. While he hits the ball hard when he connects, Cruz’ 32 percent strikeout percentage is still quite high. Maybe he’ll get his power stroke going in the second half of the year to help prop up all the strikeouts.

    • Oneil Cruz homers, scores twice in win over Rays
Oneil Cruz homered and scored two runs in a 4-2 win for the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Cruz obliterated a Zack Eflin pitch for a 445-foot dinger to tie the game at 1-1 in the first. The 25-year-old also drew a walk and came around to score a few batters later. There are going to be ups and downs with Cruz, but the power is obviously legitimate, and helps mitigate some of the contact issues. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:16 pm

    • Reaches base four times
Abrams (wrist) went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored, an RBI, a stolen base and a walk in Friday's win over the Rockies.

Advice: Abrams returned to the lineup after missing the previous two games and wasted no time making an impact, ripping a double on the first pitch of the game. He knocked an RBI double later in the game. The 23-year-old shortstop is heating up again; he's gone 13-for-28 (.464) with six extra-base hits over his last eight games. In 12 games prior to that, he posted a .510 OPS with no multi-hit performances. Abrams is slashing .267/.320/.487 on the year with 33 extra-base hits and 11 steals. • CJ Abrams (wrist) returns to Nationals’ lineup
CJ Abrams (wrist) returned to the Nationals’ starting lineup on Friday night.

Advice: The 23-year-old shortstop had missed the team’s previous two games due to a Ganglion cyst near his left wrist. He feels good enough to give it a go on Friday night though and will return to his customary leadoff spot in the lineup against Dakota Hudson and the Rockies at Coors Field on Friday evening. • Says he's good to go
Abrams (wrist) said that he's "good to go" for Friday's game against the Rockies, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports

Advice: Abrams was scratched from Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks and missed Thursday's game before an MRI revealed he was dealing with a cyst in his left wrist. However, he'll be back in action for Friday's matchup with the Rockies. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:05 pm

    • CJ Abrams day-to-day after MRI on left wrist
CJ Abrams is day-to-day after an MRI this week revealed a Ganglion cyst on his left palm near his wrist.

Advice: Nationals manager Dave Martinez told reporters Thursday that it isn’t a serious concern. We’re not medical professionals, but a Ganglion cyst is basically a non-cancerous lump that appears along the joints of the wrists or hands. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward as the issue mighty simply go away on its own, but it’s something Abrams will have to manage going forward. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Abrams back in Washington’s lineup at some point in the coming days. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:49 pm
