    • Kenley Jansen closes out Yankees on Sunday night
Kenley Jansen closed out the Yankees on Sunday night, working a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a three-run advantage.

Advice: The 36-year-old hurler picked up his 18th save of the season for his troubles. He made quick work of the Yankees in this one, getting Ben Rice on a ground ball to first, Juan Soto on a liner to left and Aaron Judge on a swinging third strike to end it. Jansen has been as reliable as ever this season, converting 18 of his first 19 save chances while posting a 2.01 ERA over 31 1/3 innings of work. Rotoworld Today, 6:33 pm
    • Picks up seventh win
Gibson (7-3) earned the win Sunday over the Nationals, allowing three runs on nine hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Gibson got through the first five innings allowing just two runs, but allowed the first three hitters to reach in the sixth before getting pulled. The veteran has won three of his last four starts and has had quality starts in four of his last seven outings. The 36-year-old has helped stabilize the Cardinals rotation, he has a 3.96 ERA and 1.29 WHIP through 97.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 4:26 pm
    • Grayson Rodriguez strikes out eight in beating A’s
Grayson Rodriguez fanned eight while allowing three runs over six innings as the Orioles topped the A’s 6-3 on Sunday.

Advice: Rodriguez moved into a tie for the major league lead in wins, but since his 3.52 ERA isn’t especially great, he wasn’t picked for the All-Star Game today. He’ll make his final start before the break Saturday against the Yankees. Rotoworld Today, 4:22 pm
    • Heston Kjerstad hits three-run homer in win
Heston Kjerstad hit a three-run homer in the victory over the A’s on Sunday.

Advice: Kjerstad was making just his second start in five games, which is the same number as Colton Cowser and one less than Austin Hays, even though four of those games were against righties. It’s pretty much impossible to trust either Kjerstad or Cowser in weekly leagues at this point, though either would likely be a useful mixed-league outfielder if the Orioles sent down the other. • Stays hot Sunday
Seager went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in Sunday's 13-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: Seager's hitting streak is up to 12 games, a span in which he's gone 17-for-46 (.370) with eight extra-base hits, eight RBI and eight runs scored. The shortstop's fourth-inning homer turned this game into a romp for the Rangers. Seager is slashing .271/.352/.473 with 16 long balls, 43 RBI, 40 runs scored and one stolen base through 77 contests overall. Rotowire.com Today, 4:18 pm

    • Seager homers, drives in three against the Rays
Corey Seager went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a home run, and three RBI in a 13-2 win over the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: All of that talk about Seager’s early-season struggles, but the 30-year-old is now hitting .271/.352/.473 with 16 home runs and 43 RBI heading into the final week before the All-Star break. With Wyatt Langford surging and both Marcus Semien and Adolis Garcia likely to figure out their current slumps, this Rangers offense could get hot in the second half, and Seager will be right in the middle of it. • Kyle Gibson strikes out eight in five innings
Kyle Gibson allowed nine hits and three earned runs across five innings on Sunday against the Nationals. He struck out eight, walked two, and earned the victory.

Advice: Gibson had all his tools working on Sunday as all five of his pitches forced multiple swings-and-misses. The Nationals squeaked plenty of balls through the hole and Gibson weirdly did not receive one out on a fly ball. If he had a little more luck on batted balls he could have gone seven innings in this one. Rotoworld Today, 1:48 pm
    • Heading out for rehab assignment
Pirates general manager Ben Cherington said Sunday that he anticipates Bednar (oblique) reporting to Triple-A Indianapolis this week to begin a rehab assignment, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Bednar has been on the 15-day injured list since June 23 with a left oblique strain, but he's on the cusp of a return after he threw a 21-pitch live batting practice session Saturday without incident. Cherington didn't say whether Bednar would require more than one rehab appearance with Indianapolis, but with the All-Star break looming, it wouldn't be surprising if the Pirates waited until the start of their second-half schedule July 19 before activating their closer. • Receiving breather Sunday
Contreras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Contreras started the past 12 games after missing one contest due to a head injury, and he'll take a seat Sunday after he posted a .319/.396/.468 slash line during that stretch. It's just his fourth game out of the lineup this season. Eric Haase will step in behind the plate to catch for veteran lefty Dallas Keuchel. Rotowire.com Today, 12:28 pm
