      Advice: Yelich smacked a one-out double off of Ryan Feltner in the third inning, but the Brewers couldn’t cash him in. He then singled in the fifth inning but was picked off of first base. Yelich also singled during the team’s two-run rally in the ninth inning.       Diamondbacks placed LHP Jordan Montgomery on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 29, with right knee inflammation.

      Advice: Arizona had to come up with something here since Montgomery badly needs to press the reset button on the metaphorical console. Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo told reporters that injury occurred during a bullpen session over the weekend and he doesn’t expect it to be an extended absence. The 31-year-old southpaw’s Arizona debut has gone about as poorly as one could imagine with a bloated 6.44 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 45/23 K/BB ratio across 65 2/3 innings (13 starts).
