    • Held out again Friday
Lowe (toe) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Lowe hasn't played since suffering a fractured right pinky toe on June 22. The Rays are facing a lefty in Mitchell Parker on Friday, so Lowe might not have been in the lineup, anyway. If he remains out Saturday against righty Jake Irvin, a stint on the injured list surely will have to be considered. Jose Caballero is at second base Friday. Rotowire.com 20 minutes ago

    • Brandon Lowe on bench again Friday
Brandon Lowe (toe) isn’t starting for Friday’s game against the Nationals.

Advice: Lowe hasn’t played since June 22nd after breaking his pinkie toe. He also battled an illness earlier this week. Tampa Bay is also facing a left-hander starter in Mitchell Parker. The Rays haven’t put Lowe on the IL yet so hopefully he can return to the lineup soon. Jose Caballero will get the start at second base and bat seventh on Friday. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

    • Remains white hot
Buxton went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and two additional runs scored Thursday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Buxton posted a three-hit day with a dinger for the second time in three games. The centerfielder has now collected multiple hits in six of his last 16 starts, batting .355 (22-for-62) with nine extra-base hits including four homers, 14 RBI, 14 runs scored and three steals during that stretch. • Bounces back with victory
Berrios (7-6) earned the win against the Yankees on Thursday, allowing two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out eight batters over seven innings.

Advice: Berrios had been struggling coming into Thursday, allowing nine runs over 11 frames across his past two starts. He rebounded nicely against New York, giving up just two runs on a fifth-inning homer by Trent Grisham. The right-handed hurler also registered a season-high eight strikeouts en route to his 12th quality start. Berrios has posted a mediocre 6.6 K/9 on the campaign but is nonetheless in the midst of a fine season with a 3.38 ERA and 1.11 WHIP over 104 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:26 pm
    • Picks up another quality start
Rogers allowed three runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four batters over six innings in a no-decision against Philadelphia on Thursday.

Advice: Rogers threw just 57 of 103 pitches for strikes and tied a season high with four free passes, but he still managed to record his third consecutive quality start. The southpaw doesn't have any wins in those outings, but he's posted a nice 3.26 ERA with a 12:5 K:BB over 19.1 innings during that stretch. Rogers' ERA on the season still sits at a much less alluring 4.87, though it's at 3.56 across five starts in June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:11 pm
    • Doubles, triples in win
Suzuki went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and an RBI in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants.

Advice: Suzuki didn't rack up the counting stats but he still had a solid effort in the win. He tallied his 11th double and second triple of the season, and he's now batting a solid .266 with a .796 OPS. Suzuki's game doesn't jump off the page, though he's been a steady contributor since he came over from Japan in 2022. The outfielder slashed .262/.336/.433 as a rookie, then followed that up with a .285/.357/.485 line last season. Suzuki is on pace for similar figures once again this year. • Berrios picks up seventh win over Yankees Thursday
Jose Berrios allowed two runs in seven innings and got the win in the Blue Jays’ 9-2 victory over the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Berrios gave up two hits, walked three and struck out eight. The win was his seventh of the year and second in June. The eight strikeouts were a season-high for Berrios. His struggles with the home run continued as he has allowed a home run in each of his last five starts and 11 of his last 12 starts. Both runs Berrios allowed came on the two-run home run he gave up to Trent Grisham in the fifth inning. He has a 3.38 ERA and 4.34 xFIP on the season. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Astros at home next week.

    • Trevor Rogers completes six frames vs. Phillies
Trevor Rogers allowed three runs over six innings on Thursday in a no-decision against the Phillies.

Advice: Rogers completed six innings for the fourth time in his last five starts and threw 103 pitches (57 strikes), his most in a single start since May 14, 2022. He struck out four and also handed out four free passes. He’ll square off against the Red Sox on Wednesday in his next outing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:25 pm
    • Seiya Suzuki doubles and triples in victory
Seiya Suzuki doubled and tripled in an extra-inning victory Thursday over the Giants.

Advice: Suzuki drove in a run with his triple in the third to give Chicago a 3-0 cushion. He’s now tripled twice in 2024, while the double was his 11th of the campaign. Suzuki has three extra-base hits over the last two games to help improve his slash to .266/.337/.459. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:51 pm
