      X-rays came back negative on Nolan Arenado’s right hand.

      Advice: Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol told reporters Arenado is day-to-day with a bone bruise in his right hand. The 33-year-old third baseman, who finished 0-for-4 on Thursday afternoon, appears to have avoided serious injury after being hit by a pitch on the back of his right hand while striking out swinging during his final at-bat.       Advice: Arenado struck out swinging on a pitch that hit him in the hand during the eighth inning.
