    • Converts on save
Green picked up the save Tuesday against Houston, allowing one hit and no walks with two strikeouts across a scoreless inning.

Advice: Green has stepped into a temporary ninth-inning role with Jordan Romano (elbow) and Yimi Garcia (elbow) shelved. Though the pair have been sidelined for multiple weeks, Tuesday's contest was the first save opportunity offered since and Green stepped up and converted. Green has been exceptional for the Blue Jays this season, owning a 1.37 ERA with a 17:4 K:BB across 19.2 innings. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago

    • Goes seven innings
Manaea didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Washington, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and two walks across seven innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Although Manaea wasn't rewarded with the win, Tuesday's start marked his first time going deeper than six innings this season and was his third straight outing without surrendering a home run. The southpaw owns a 3.67 ERA across 83.1 innings, which would be his best since 2019, and has allowed only five earned runs in his last 22.2 innings pitched. Manaea is on track to start against the Pirates in Pittsburgh on Sunday. Rotowire.com 27 minutes ago

    • Zach Littell defeats Royals to earn third victory
Zach Littell picked up his third victory of the season on Tuesday evening, scattering four hits over five shutout innings against the Royals.

Advice: Littell punched out four batters on the night and didn’t walk a batter. He needed just 68 pitches (49 strikes) to get through five frames — and he would’ve likely worked deeper into the game had it not been for a lengthy rain delay after the fifth inning. The 28-year-old righty got eight whiffs on the night, registering a strong CSW of 34 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he brings a 3.94 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and an 86/16 K/BB ratio (91 1/3 innings) into Sunday’s matchup against the Rangers in Arlington. • Takes loss in return
Soriano (4-6) allowed four runs on three hits and a walk while striking out four over four innings, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Athletics.

Advice: Soriano missed the minimum time on the injured list due to an abdominal infection. He cruised through the Athletics' order the first time, but he had less fortune the second time around, as Brent Rooker hit a solo shot and Lawrence Butler added a three-run home run. Soriano threw just 62 pitches (39 strikes) in the outing, so he may still be building up to full strength. For the year, he's at a 3.77 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 64:29 K:BB through 76.1 innings this year. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Cubs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:39 pm

    • Blows save versus Milwaukee
Mears (1-4) was tagged with the loss and a blown save after he allowed two runs on two hits and two walks over two-thirds of an inning Tuesday against the Brewers.

Advice: Mears didn't give up hard contact as the two hits against him were infield singles, but he was unable to get through the frame on 39 pitches. It's the second blown save of the season for the right-hander, who remains without a save but has seven holds to go along with an ugly 6.28 ERA. Closer Tyler Kinley threw three innings over the previous two days, which likely prompted manager Bud Black to look elsewhere for Tuesday's save opportunity. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:34 pm

    • Rebounds in rematch
Spence (5-4) allowed one run on six hits and a walk while striking out five over 5.1 innings to earn the win over the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Spence was tagged for six runs over 5.1 innings in his last start, which was also against the Angels. He bounced back this time, limiting the damage on his line to a Nolan Schanuel sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Spence is still looking for consistency as a starter, but he has been able to complete at least five frames in each of his last seven outings. He's at a 4.15 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 61:17 K:BB over 73.2 innings through 20 appearances (nine starts) overall. The 26-year-old is projected for a tough home start versus the Orioles this weekend. • Mitch Spence fans five in victory over Angels
Mitch Spence was terrific in Tuesday night’s victory over the Angels, allowing just one run on six hits over his 5 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: Spence piled up five strikeouts on the night while allowing only one base on balls. The lone tally against him came in the fifth inning as Nolan Schanuel plated Brandon Drury with a sacrifice fly. Spence generated nine swings and misses on 94 pitches on the night — four each on his cutter and slider — while posting an underwhelming CSW of 21 percent. Now 5-4 on the season, the 26-year-old hurler will tote a 4.15 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 61/17 K/BB ratio (73 2/3 innings) into Sunday’s battle against the hot-hitting Orioles. • Jose Soriano struggles in return to rotation
Jose Soriano struggled in his return to the Angels’ rotation on Tuesday, giving up four runs on three hits over four innings in a loss to the Angels.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander walked one while striking out four batters on the evening. He cruised through the first three innings unscathed, allowing just one baserunner as he plunked Max Schuemann with two outs in the third. Things fell apart in the fourth though as Brent Rooker crushed a solo homer and Lawrence Butler added a three-run blast. Soriano got six whiffs on 62 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 3.77 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a 64/29 K/BB ratio (76 1/3 innings) into Sunday’s matchup against the Cubs at Wrigley Field. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:55 pm

    • Logs quality start in no-decision
Flexen did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Guardians, allowing six runs (three earned) on six hits and one walk with three strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Flexen entered the sixth inning in a 3-3 tie but an error by Paul DeJong led to three unearned runs before he finished the frame at 101 pitches. It wasn't the most appealing quality start, but Flexen has now logged two in his past three outings. The 30-year-old has not recorded a win since May 8 and owns a 5.08 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 63:33 K:BB over 85 innings. He lines up for a road matchup with the Marlins this weekend.
