    • Manaea allows one run in no decision
Sean Manaea allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits in seven innings in a no-decision against the Nationals.

Advice: Manaea struck out five and walked two on the day to lower his ERA to 3.67. While the surface-level stats are good, Manaea got just nine whiffs on 47 swings for a 19 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. He filled up the strike zone with his sinker but struggled to throw his other pitches in the zone with each of them getting under a 50 percent zone rate. You can’t argue the results, but there doesn’t seem to be much in the arsenal that suggests Manaea is a much different pitcher this season; however, he could be a solid streamer against the Pirates this weekend. • Michal Kopech takes loss against Guardians
Michael Kopech allowed one run on one hit in 1/3 of an inning in a loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Kopech entered the ninth in a tie game and allowed a lead-off single to Andres Gimenez. Gimenez would later move over on a groundout and then a wild pitch allowed him to advance to third where he was driven in by a sac fly off the bat of Bo Naylor. Kopech had allowed just one run in his last six innings and wasn’t particularly bad here, but the wild pitch highlights some of the inconsistency that he brings at the end of games. • Rehab moved to Double-A
The Nationals transferred Ferrer's (shoulder) rehab assignment to Double-A Harrisburg on Tuesday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Ferrer appeared in one game in the Florida Complex League, allowing one run on two hits while striking out one batter in 1.1 innings. He'll now join Harrisburg in order to rehab against some tougher competition, though it's still unclear whether he'll report to the Nationals or Triple-A Rochester once he's activated off the 60-day IL. • Flexen hit hard in no decision
Chris Flexen allowed six runs (three earned) on six hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Flexen struck out three and walked one on the day. He allowed eight hard-hit baseballs including two home runs, which accounted for four of the Guardians’ runs. He did earn 13 whiffs on 54 swings for a 24 percent whiff rate and a 26 percent CSW. With a 5.08 ERA on the year, Flexen is not to be trusted in fantasy leagues and will be a risky stream even against the Marlins this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:17 pm

    • Links up with Baltimore
Nittoli agreed to a minor-league contract with the Orioles on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Nittoli parted ways with the Cubs earlier Tuesday and was quickly able to latch on with a new organization. He has a 2.70 ERA over 23.1 innings at the Triple-A level this season and will report to Baltimore's Triple-A affiliate in Norfolk. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:48 pm

    • D-backs recall Gavin Hollowell from Triple-A
Diamondbacks recalled RHP Gavin Hollowell from Triple-A Reno.

Advice: Hollowell was claimed off waivers a couple weeks ago from the division-rival Rockies and will augment Arizona’s bullpen depth heading into Tuesday’s game against the Rockies. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:35 pm
    • Up in big leagues
The Diamondbacks recalled Hollowell from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Advice: The right-hander was optioned to Reno after being claimed off waivers from the Rockies in mid-June, and he'll now receive his first look with the Diamondbacks. Hollowell made 26 appearances in the big leagues last year for Colorado and had a 5.88 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 32:18 K:BB over 33.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:31 pm
    • Activated ahead of start
The Angels reinstated Soriano (abdomen) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Soriano landed on the injured list June 20 due to an infection in his abdomen, but he'll now return following a minimum-length stay to start against the Athletics. He could be under a pitch count during his first start back, but he'll still be in a position to succeed versus a weak Oakland offense. Andrew Wantz (elbow) was placed on the 15-day IL in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:47 pm

    • Angels activate José Soriano for Tuesday start
Angels activated RHP José Soriano from the 15-day injured list.

Advice: Soriano will take the ball on Tuesday night against the division-rival Athletics after missing one start due to an abdominal infection. The 25-year-old righty has pitched well this season with a solid 3.48 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 60/28 K/BB ratio across 72 1/3 innings (14 appearances, 12 starts). He’s a worthy streaming option for fantasy managers, especially in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:45 pm
