    • Hitless but makes impact
Carroll went 0-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Carroll managed to make an impact without a hit. He led off the bottom of the first inning with a walk then stole a base before scoring the club's first run. An inning later, his sacrifice fly plated what turned out to be the winning run. The move back up to the top of the order hasn't shaken Carroll out of a season-opening slump. He was batting .203 as of May 5, when manager Torey Lovullo moved him back into the familiar leadoff role. Seventeen games later, Carroll's average has dipped to .186. • Shohei Ohtani playing through hamstring bruise
Shohei Ohtani is playing through a right hamstring contusion.

Advice: The Athletic’s Fabian Ardaya adds that the Dodgers are managing Ohtani’s lingering issue, which he suffered during their last homestand when he was hit by a pickoff throw, by placing a “governor” on him while running the bases. The restriction became apparent when the 29-year-old cruised around the bases at less than full speed on his sixth-inning triple during Saturday’s contest against the Reds. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward, but it’s certainly an issue fantasy managers should continue monitoring. Ohtani has been phenomenal in his Los Angeles debut so far, currently leads the majors with a .338 batting average along with 13 homers and 13 steals through 52 games. • Puts game out of reach
Harper went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Harper hit an RBI single in the first inning and added a three-run homer in the ninth that gave the Phillies all the offense they needed in the win. He's hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games, going 16-for-46 (.348) with four homers and 12 RBI in that span. For the season, the 31-year-old is up to a .282/.389/.554 slash line with 13 homers, 41 RBI, 32 runs scored, three stolen bases and nine doubles over 48 contests. • Harper blasts 13th home run Saturday
Bryce Harper went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: The Phillies trailed by a run entering the ninth inning and exploded with five runs. The big blow was a two-out three-run home run to the opposite field by Harper. It was his 13th home run of the season and he’s now up to 41 RBI.

    • Playing with bruised hamstring
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Ohtani has been playing with a bruised right hamstring in recent days, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Ohtani was hit in the leg by a pickoff throw during the team's last homestand and has been instructed to not exert full effort on the bases for the time being. The issue hasn't caused him to miss any games, and at this point, Ohtani doesn't look as though he'll be subject to any days off. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:25 pm

    • Tough-luck loss Saturday
Berrios (5-4) took the loss Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits over seven innings as the Blue Jays fell 2-1 to the Tigers. He struck out five without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander was sharp, generating 28 called or swinging strikes among an efficient 83 pitches, but a two-run homer by Kerry Carpenter in the first inning proved to be the difference as Toronto's bats had little success against Reese Olson. The quality start was the third straight for Berrios and his ninth in 11 outings this season, and he'll take a 2.94 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 53:18 K:BB through 67.1 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Pirates. • José Berríos pitches well in loss to Tigers
José Berríos allowed two runs with five strikeouts over seven innings in a loss to the Tigers on Saturday.

Advice: Berríos lone mistake came in the first inning. He gave up a two-out double before Kerry Carpenter took him deep for a two-run homer to give the Tigers the early lead. Berríos settled in for six more scoreless frames, striking out five. He’d take the loss without any run support. The 29-year-old right-hander ends the day with an outstanding 2.94 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and a 53/18 K/BB ratio across 67 1/3 innings. He’ll take on the Pirates in Toronto on Friday. • Clubs 12th homer
Hernandez went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, an additional run, a double and two walks in Friday's loss to Cincinnati.

Advice: Hernandez also reached on a hit-by-pitch, so he got on base in all five of his plate appearances. Both of the outfielder's hits went for extra bases, and his ninth-inning solo homer was his first long ball in 12 games. Hernandez has been a strong addition to the Dodgers' high-octane offense, as he's tied for 10th in the league with 12 homers and ranks seventh with 38 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:44 am

    • Ezequiel Tovar goes 4-for-6, wins game in 11th
Ezequiel Tovar went 4-for-6 and delivered a game-winning hit in the bottom of the 11th as the Rockies upset the Phillies 3-2 on Friday.

Advice: Jacob Stallings previously tied this one up by homering in the bottom of the ninth. Neither team scored in the 10th, and the Phillies also came up empty in the 11th before the Rockies won it. Tovar had a double and a second RBI in the game. His first career four-hit game pushed his average up to .285 for the season. Rotoworld Friday, 11:49 pm
