      Advice: Webb had a rough fifth inning, but other than that, he was his usual steady self. With the Giants' rotation in shambles due to injuries, getting a longer start out of Webb is a positive for the team's situation. He's gone at least six innings in 10 straight appearances, posting a 2.86 ERA over 66 innings with a 61:14 K:BB in that span. That's just a bit better than his 3.12 ERA for the year, which comes with a 1.22 WHIP and 97:26 K:BB across 112.1 innings through 18 starts. Webb's next start is projected to be at Atlanta.       Matt Chapman stole a base and hit a two-run homer in a win for the Giants on Friday over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Chapman hit a two-run homer off Daniel Hudson for his 10th homer of the season, and he stole his seventh bag of the year for good measure. The 31-year-old has been a mild disappointment thus far in 2024 — depending on expectations, of course — with a .235/.316/.399 slash, but the homers and steals have help balance things out a bit.       Logan Webb gave up two runs in seven innings against the Dodgers on Friday while not qualifying for a decision.

      Advice: Webb threw 62-of-93 pitches for strikes while walking three and fanning six. The right-hander gave up both runs in the fifth, and outside of that frame he was brilliant while lowering his ERA to 3.12 on the campaign. Webb isn’t immune to clunkers, but he’s been one of the best starting options in baseball since 2021. You already knew that, but it’s a good reminder.       Correa went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning loss to the Mariners.

      Advice: Correa left Thursday's game with a bruised right wrist, but he didn't end up missing time. The homer was his ninth of the season and got him to the 40-RBI mark this year, though it was all the run production the Twins could muster in Friday's game. The shortstop has 12 multi-hit efforts over his last 21 games, going 36-for-83 (.434) in that span. For the year, he's at a .312/.381/.506 slash line across 64 contests.       Carlos Correa connected on a two-run homer in a loss to the Mariners on Friday.

      Advice: The good run for Correa continues, as he broke up Logan Gilbert’s shutout in the sixth inning with a two-run blast over the field-field fence in the sixth inning.       Advice: Kimbrel was called upon to protect a 2-1 lead in the ninth inning and did so with two strikeouts and a groundout. The veteran has rebounded from a blown save June 19 with two straight scoreless conversions.       Ronel Blano was pulled after 5 2/3 innings after allowing six runs, three earned, on Friday against the Mets. He struck out five and walked three in a loss.

      Advice: Blanco pitched fine Friday. His three unearned runs came as a result of an Alex Bregman two-out error that allowed Jeff McNeil to sneak a ball just over the right field fence in the next at-bat. That was the Mets’ third home run of the game as Tyrone Taylor and Pete Alonso also left the yard.
