    • Goes yard in loss
Walker went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Walker has an extra-base hit in four of his last six games, though this was his first homer since June 20. The first baseman is up to 18 long balls on the year, with six of them coming over his last 18 games. He's added a .259/.331/.480 slash line with 55 RBI, 50 runs scored and two stolen bases over 85 contests. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago
    • Christian Walker goes deep in loss to Dodgers
Christian Walker went 2-for-5 and slugged a two-run homer on Tuesday night as the Diamondbacks fell to the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

Advice: The 33-year-old slugger evened the score at 2-2 when he clobbered a 402-foot (107.1 mph EV) two-run shot off of Bobby Miller in the fourth inning. He also added a two-out single off of Alex Vesia in the seventh inning. Walker is enjoying another strong season in the middle of the Diamondbacks’ lineup, slashing .259/.331/.480 with 18 homers, 55 RBI and two stolen bases (in four attempts). Rotoworld 36 minutes ago
    • Nimmo has two hits, two RBI off bench
Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-3 with two RBIs after coming off the bench in a win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Nimmo didn’t start the game after nursing a head injury when he fell in his hotel room on Sunday night and cut his head. However, he certainly seems to be healthy, knocking in a run on a single in the eighth to tie the game and then giving the Mets a two-run cushion in the 10th inning with an RBI double. Over the last six weeks, Nimmo is hitting .283/.377/.496 with six home runs, 27 runs scored, 21 RBI, and three steals in 33 games. He remains underrated in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Today, 7:14 pm

    • Returning to mound Thursday
Burnes will start Thursday's series finale against the Mariners on the road, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: Burnes was activated from the paternity list Monday after missing three games while with his expanding family, welcoming a pair of twins with his wife. With Dean Kremer (triceps) set to return from the 15-day injured list Wednesday, Burnes will make his return to the mound Thursday. The right-hander produced a 2.12 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with 28 strikeouts over 34 innings in five starts in June. Rotowire.com Today, 4:56 pm
    • Jordan Montgomery hits IL with knee inflammation
Diamondbacks placed LHP Jordan Montgomery on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 29, with right knee inflammation.

Advice: Arizona had to come up with something here since Montgomery badly needs to press the reset button on the metaphorical console. Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo told reporters that injury occurred during a bullpen session over the weekend and he doesn’t expect it to be an extended absence. The 31-year-old southpaw’s Arizona debut has gone about as poorly as one could imagine with a bloated 6.44 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 45/23 K/BB ratio across 65 2/3 innings (13 starts). The hope here for fantasy managers is that some time out of the spotlight to work on things is able to help him get back on track. Rotoworld Today, 3:34 pm
    • Lands on injured list
The Diamondbacks placed Montgomery on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to June 29, due to right knee inflammation.

Advice: Montgomery was tagged for eight runs (four earned) during his start Thursday against the Twins, though it's unclear if the injury played a role in those results. The veteran left-hander will be eligible to be reinstated for the final game before the All-Star break July 14 versus the Blue Jays, but a return after the Midsummer Classic likely more realistic. • Brandon Nimmo remains absent from Tuesday’s lineup
Brandon Nimmo (head) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Nationals.

Advice: The positive news here is that Nimmo is merely dealing with a forehead laceration that he suffered on Sunday night when he fell in his hotel room. The 31-year-old outfielder, who boasts a .291 (34-for-117) average with six homers and two steals over his last 30 games, will sit out a second straight contest on Tuesday evening, but it doesn’t appear that he’s facing a lengthy absence. It’ll be Jeff McNeil in left field once again in his place. Rotoworld Today, 1:33 pm

    • Still out of lineup
Nimmo (forehead) is absent from the starting lineup Tuesday against Washington.

Advice: Nimmo sustained a cut on his forehead Sunday night after falling in his hotel room. While he cleared concussion testing, he'll be held out of the lineup for a second straight night. Jeff McNeil will bat ninth and fill left field. Per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, Nimmo will likely available off the bench Tuesday and expects to be back in the lineup Wednesday. • Struggles continue Monday
Harvey (2-4) took the loss Monday against the Mets, surrendering five runs (four earned) on three hits over two-thirds of an inning as the Nationals fell 9-7 in 10 innings.

Advice: The final frame was a disaster for Harvey and the Nats -- after the right-hander hit Harrison Bader with a pitch, J.D. Martinez crushed a splitter over the heart of the plate for a three-run shot before extra-base hits by Tyrone Taylor and Francisco Alvarez chased Harvey from the game. The normally reliable set-up man has been tagged for eight earned runs in his last four appearances, and his ERA has more than doubled over the last month, going from 2.08 after an appearance June 2 to 4.24 following Monday's outing.
