      Fairbanks picked up the save over the Royals on Thursday, allowing one run on one hit over one inning while striking out one.

      Advice: Fairbanks entered the contest with a three-run lead in the bottom of the ninth and retired the first two batters in succession before surrendering a solo homer to Bobby Witt. The right-hander was then able to get Vinnie Pasquantino to ground out for the final out of the game, securing his 14th save of the season.       Xander Bogaerts (shoulder) went 1-for-3 with a walk on Thursday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A El Paso.

      Advice: Bogaerts, who was at designated hitter on Thursday in his rehab assignment debut, is working his way back from a fractured left shoulder that sent him to the injured list back on May 20. The 31-year-old figures to return as San Diego’s primary option at the keystone, but could wind up bouncing around between several positions moving forward.       O'Neill went 3-for-5 with a double, a walk, a run, two RBI and two stolen bases in a 6-5 extra-innings win against Miami on Thursday.

      Advice: O'Neill accounted for three of Boston's eight total hits to record his third consecutive multi-hit effort. He came up big in extra frames, recording an RBI single in the 11th inning and adding the game-winning RBI on a double in the 12th. O'Neill also collected two thefts in the contest after notching just one steal (on one attempt) over his first 60 games of the season. Swiping bags probably won't become a trend for the outfielder moving forward, though it's worth noting that he stole 29 combined bases across the 2021 and 2022 campaigns while with St. Louis.       Advice: India hit one of three homers for Cincinnati, swatting a solo shot in the third inning. He finished with his ninth multi-hit game over his past 12 contests, a stretch during which he's batting a blistering .467 (21-for-45) with Thursday's homer, six RBI, 13 runs and two stolen bases.       Advice: Henderson opened the scoring with his third-inning blast, which was his first homer in seven games. The shortstop remains excellent atop the Orioles' order, having gone 15-for-41 (.366) over his last 10 contests.       Burnes allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners.

      Advice: Burnes, who welcomed twins over the weekend, was strong in his return to the mound. He threw 62 of 94 pitches for strikes, but he gave up both runs in the fifth inning, including one on a solo home run by Julio Rodriguez. Burnes has posted a quality start in all but one of his last 13 outings, though this was just the second time in his last seven starts that he didn't come away with a win. He has an excellent 2.32 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 105:25 K:BB through 112.2 innings over 18 starts this season. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Cubs and should be set to pitch on a regular schedule with the Orioles electing for a five-man rotation moving forward.
