    • Belts 19th long ball
Tucker went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional run and a walk in a 5-2 win against the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Tucker hit one of four homers against Minnesota starter Joe Ryan with a solo shot in the third inning. It was the 19th long ball of the campaign for the outfielder, second in the majors behind Aaron Judge (21). Tucker is easily on pace to surpass the career-best mark of 30 homers he established in both 2021 and 2022. Rotowire.com Today, 10:32 pm

    • Efficient in quality start
Valdez (4-3) earned the win over Minnesota on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out four batters over seven innings.

Advice: Valdez needed a modest 85 pitches to get through seven frames before turning the game over to the bullpen. He notched his second straight quality start and fourth over his past five contests. Overall, Valdez has given up three or fewer earned runs in seven of his nine starts on the campaign. • Bohm drives in two against Cardinals Saturday
Alec Bohm went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a double and two RBI against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Advice: Bohm started the scoring with a two-run double off Sonny Gray in the first inning. He only has five home runs on the season, but he’s hitting .311 with 49 RBI in 58 games. Bohm is a mainstay in the middle of the order for the Phillies now. Rotoworld Today, 7:14 pm

    • Kyle Tucker homers and walks against Twins
Kyle Tucker homered and walked in a victory for the Astros over the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Tucker also drew a walk. The 27-year-old is already up to 19 homers on the season with a .976 OPS to pair with them. Even with the Astros having a disappointing 2024 campaign, Tucker has been as good as he’s ever been over the first two-plus months of the campaign. Rotoworld Today, 5:03 pm

    • Framber Valdez spins seven strong in win over MIN
Framber Valdez gave up just one hit on two runs while working seven innings to get a win Saturday against the Twins.

Advice: Valdez did issue two walks, but he was able to keep the self-inflicted damage to a low roar while striking out four. The southpaw has gone seven innings in three of his last five starts, and he hasn’t allowed more than two runs in any of those outings. There have been some clunkers for Valdez in 2024, but the good has mostly outweighed the poor. Rotoworld Today, 5:02 pm
    • Scratched from lineup
Abrams was scratched from the Nationals' lineup prior to Saturday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Abrams said that he jammed his shoulder while making a diving play during Friday's loss, per Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com, and it seems to be bothering him enough Saturday to warrant a day off. While Abrams recovers, Ildemaro Vargas will take over at shortstop and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 12:30 pm

    • CJ Abrams scratched Saturday with shoulder issue
CJ Abrams has been scratched from the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Guardians due to shoulder soreness.

Advice: It’s worth noting that Abrams remained in during Friday’s contest after jamming his shoulder attempting to make a play defensively. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern, but the Nationals clearly don’t want to take any chances here and are holding him out for precautionary reasons. The 23-year-old emerging star has been in a rut the last few days, going hitless (0-for-14) with eight strikeouts over his last three games. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for the moment. Rotoworld Today, 12:28 pm

    • MRI shows no structural damage
Romano (elbow) had an MRI on his right elbow Friday night, which didn't reveal any structural damage, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: Romano was placed on the 15-day injured list with inflammation in his throwing elbow, but he appears to have avoided a significant injury. The 31-year-old will be shut down from throwing for a few days before Toronto will determine what direction the team will go from there. Yimi Garcia is considered the frontrunner to operate as the closer for the Blue Jays in Romano's absence. Rotowire.com Today, 12:02 pm

    • Joe Musgrove lands on IL with elbow inflammation
Padres placed RHP Joe Musgrove on the 15-day injured list with right elbow inflammation.

Advice: Musgrove lasted just two starts before an elbow issue winds up sending him back on the shelf. Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reported that Musgrove is dealing with a recurring triceps/elbow issue, which “is not believed at this time to be a season-ending injury.” The fact that the term season-ending is even being brought up here isn’t an encouraging sign. It certainly doesn’t sound great and fantasy managers should anticipate Musgrove returning anytime soon. There should be some clarity on his status in the coming days once he undergoes some additional imaging to determine whether he’s dealing with any structural damage. Stay tuned.
