• Produces run in loss
Suarez batted seventh and went 0-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Suarez knocked in Arizona's second run with a sacrifice fly in the second inning, just his second RBI over the last 12 games. The third baseman has been grinding with a .182 average and .504 OPS for the month of May. He opened the season as the regular sixth batter in the order but was dropped to seventh against right-handers since the middle of last week. Rotowire.com Today, 3:35 am
  • Makes rare start
Smith started in right field and went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Texas.

Advice: The start was Smith's first appearance of any kind since May 19 and 11th since being called up from Triple-A Reno on April 19. The lefty-batter doubled in the Diamondbacks' first run before being pinch hit for when a lefty entered the contest. Smith has a .244/.273/.415 line over 44 plate appearances. • Luis Matos delivers game-winning for Giants
Luis Matos delivered a game-winning sac fly in the bottom of the 10th as the Giants bested the Phillies 1-0 on Tuesday.

Advice: Matos was 0-for-3 in the contest before his fly to left entered the game. It’s hard to say if the Giants will keep both he and Heliot Ramos after Michael Conforto comes off the IL, something that should happen this weekend. The Giants consider Matos the better option in center, but Ramos has been the more impressive hitter to date. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:39 pm

  • Spencer Howard goes four scoreless in relief
Spencer Howard shut out the Phillies for four innings in his bulk role Tuesday.

Advice: It sounded like Howard would be the second pitcher in tonight, but he instead entered in the fourth after Erik Miller and Taylor Rogers combined on three scoreless innings. He then kept his old team scoreless through the seventh. It didn’t get him a win, but he might have earned a chance to stick around. The 27-year-old was making his 2024 MLB debut after posting a 5.90 ERA in 10 starts for Sacramento. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:39 pm
  • Zack Wheeler shuts down Giants in no-decision
Zack Wheeler blanked the Giants for six innings, allowing just two hits, in a no-decision Tuesday.

Advice: Wheeler wasn’t at his most efficient tonight, but that didn’t really matter, since the Phillies went 10 innings without scoring. It’s Wheeler’s ninth quality start in 12 tries, and he lowered his ERA to 2.32. Still, the Phillies bizarrely are only 6-6 when he pitches, compared to 32-12 the rest of the time. • Bryson Stott goes hitless against Giants
Bryson Stott, who didn’t start Monday, went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: Stott has run extremely hot and cold this season, posting a .559 OPS over his first 25 games and a 1.242 OPS over his subsequent 18 games. Now he’s back in another drought, having gone 2-for-28 in his last eight games. The good news is that he’s struck out just three times during that span. He still projects as a useful MI in mixed leagues going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:39 pm
  • Records steal in return
Isbel went 0-for-2 with one RBI, one walk and one stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Isbel missed two games after taking a foul ball off his face Saturday. The outfielder is just 1-for-10 over his last four contests, but he was able to pick up his first RBI since May 18 on a groundout Tuesday. Isbel is at four steals, four home runs, 13 RBI, 18 runs scored and a .212/.260/.336 slash line through 147 plate appearances as the Royals' primary center fielder this year. • Picks up steal Tuesday
Siani went 1-for-1 with a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Siani entered the game as a pinch runner for Brendan Donovan in the seventh inning, but he picked up his steal in the eighth. Siani initially got the day off while mired in an 0-for-14 slump over his last five contests. The outfielder is up to a .211/.272/.274 slash line with six steals, one home run, six RBI and 14 runs scored across 109 plate appearances this year. He's seen a starting role in center field lately, though Dylan Carlson got the nod there Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:14 pm
  • Posts three hits in win
Herrera went 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Reds.

Advice: Herrera went 1-for-11 over his previous three games before breaking out of the slump Tuesday. All three of his hits were singles in this contest. The catcher is up to a .276/.344/.362 slash line with three home runs, 16 RBI, 15 runs scored and one stolen base across 131 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:10 pm
