The 29-year-old hasn't allowed a hit in three of his four appearances in June but was tagged for three runs in a June 6 outing against the Pirates.       Advice: Walker slugged his fourth home run of the last five games, taking Drew Thorpe yard in the first inning.       Kershaw (shoulder) will make a rehab start with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Kershaw came out well from a series of recent simulated games and is now set to take the final step toward a return from offseason shoulder surgery. The left-hander is said to be ahead of progress in his recovery, though he'll almost certainly need several rehab outings before he's ready to come off the 60-day injured list and make his season debut for the big club.       Christian Walker went 3-for-5 with a homer, double and three RBI on Sunday afternoon, leading the Diamondbacks in a 12-5 rout of the White Sox.

      Advice: Walker tagged rookie right-hander Drew Thorpe for a mammoth 432-foot (110.4 mph EV) solo shot in the opening inning that increased the Diamondbacks’ lead to 3-0. He then added a two-run double in the fourth inning that made it a 7-1 ballgame.       Evan Phillips turned in a hitless ninth with a three-run lead for a save Sunday against the Royals.

      Advice: With two men on in the first inning, Alonso took Dylan Cease deep for this 15th homer this season. He later added a two-run single as part of a four-run eighth to give him a season-high five RBI for the game. This one had to feel good for Alonso, as he broke out of a small slump where he had only five hits and one RBI over his last eight games.       Pete Alonso went 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBI in the Mets’ 11-6 win over the Padres on Sunday.

      Advice: Alonso needed a game like this after a rough few weeks. The five RBI matched his total for the entire month of June entering play Sunday and ninth time in his career he’s driven in at least five runs in a single game. The Mets seem to finally be comfortable with their new lineup configuration with Alonso hitting clean-up behind Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo, and J.D.       Machado was ejected from Sunday's game against the Mets in the sixth inning for arguing balls and strikes. He went 1-for-3 with an RBI and two strikeouts.

      Advice: Padres manager Mike Shildt was also tossed from the game after leaving the dugout to argue with the home plate umpire. Machado slammed his bat in frustration with the called third strike but didn't make any contact with the umpire, so he shouldn't be subject to any further punishment from MLB.
