    • Burleson drives in a run in win over Reds Sunday
Alec Burleson went 1-for-3 with an RBI against the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Burleson started the scoring with an RBI single in the fifth inning to put the Cardinals on the board. He’s 12-for-30 (.400) with 13 RBI in his last nine games. Burleson is hitting .278 with a .768 OPS and 38 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:01 pm
    • Back in action Saturday
Winker (knee) is starting in left field and batting third Saturday against the Rays.

Advice: Winker was battling knee problems after getting his foot caught in the outfield grass during the first inning of Friday's game, but he appears to be in good enough shape to play Saturday. The 30-year-old has slashed .260/.377/.412 through 302 plate appearances this season, though he may see limited work in the outfield after top prospect James Wood officially joins the Nationals for his MLB debut Monday. • Jesse Winker in Saturday’s lineup against Rays
Jesse Winker (knee) is in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Rays.

Advice: Winker is back in left field and batting third for Saturday’s showdown after suffering a right knee contusion during the bottom of the first inning of Friday’s game when he attempted to catch a fly ball near the left-field wall. His right cleat got caught in the turf, causing him to stumble and fall into the wall, which led to his exit from the contest. He’s apparently feeling well enough to get back in the lineup, which is a relief for the Nationals, and fantasy managers as well. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:37 am

    • Jazz Chisholm Jr. returns to lineup on Saturday
Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hand) is back in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: Chisholm is back in center field and leading in the wake of a one-game absence from Friday’s game against the Phillies after taking a 93 mph fastball from lefty Matt Strahm off his right hand during Thursday’s series opener. X-rays came back negative for any fractures and it doesn’t seem like he’s going to miss any additional time moving forward. The 26-year-old has been remarkably durable this season, managing to play through several minor physical ailments. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:53 am
    • Works out on treadmill
Stanton (hamstring) resumed activity on a treadmill Thursday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Given the nature of Stanton's injury, any work on a treadmill is a sign of positive progress, though manager Aaron Boone characterized the slugger's activity level as "not a lot." Stanton went on the injured list with a hamstring strain June 23 and subsequently said he expects to miss about four weeks of action, so he's not expected to be activated until after the All-Star break. The veteran had been swinging a hot bat prior to getting hurt, slashing .378/.439/.649 with three homers and nine RBI during a 10-game hitting streak. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:28 am

    • Homers in loss
Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two total runs scored in Friday's 9-4 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Gurriel has multiple hits in seven of his last nine games, going 15-for-35 (.429) in that span. The outfielder's surge has lifted his slash line to .267/.301/.422 with 11 homers, 47 RBI, 37 runs scored and three stolen bases over 76 contests this season. Gurriel's .723 OPS is still the lowest mark of his career, but he's been trending in the right direction for most of June after entering the month with a .642 OPS. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:35 pm
    • Lourdes Gurriel hits homer in loss to A’s
Lourdes Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in a loss to the A’s on Friday.

Advice: Gurriel drove in a run in the first with an RBI single, and he clobbered a solo homer to tie the game at 3-3 in the sixth; both of those hits coming off JP Sears. The veteran outfielder has been inconsistent — something that has followed him for most of his career — but the two-hit night has his average up to .267 and his OPS up to .723 with 11 homers and 47 RBI through 303 at-bats. You can do better, but there’s definitely worse bench options as well. Rotoworld Friday, 10:19 pm
    • No structural damage in knee
Winker said after Friday's game versus Tampa Bay that imaging had revealed no structural damage in his right knee, and he's hoping he'll be able to play Saturday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: Winker tweaked his knee after his foot got caught in the outfield turf while running down a flyball during the first inning Friday. He had to come out of the game early and was noticeably limping as he walked to the dugout, though it appears he managed to avoid a significant injury. Winker's defensive duties could be limited the rest of the season, as top prospect James Wood is expected to join the big-league roster Monday and take over in left field. • Jesse Winker leaves game with knee issue Friday
Jesse Winker was pulled from Friday night’s contest against the Rays

Advice: The 30-year-old outfielder injured his knee while making a terrific catch in the outfield to end the home half of the first inning. Fortunately, he avoided any structural damage and is hopeful that he’ll be able to return to the Nationals’ lineup on Saturday. For now, he should be considered day-to-day. Rotoworld Friday, 6:57 pm
