    Advice: Gibson was tagged with a run in the third inning but otherwise didn't face much trouble in the quality start. He was in line for a tough-luck loss before the Cardinals pushed the game to extra innings. After earning a win in his Cardinals debut, Gibson was hammered for 11 runs over his last two starts.   • Fires six shutout innings
    Peralta allowed four hits and two walks over six scoreless frames in a no-decision Friday. He struck out seven in the win over St. Louis.

    Advice: Peralta was in line for his third win of the year before the Cardinals tied the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. The 27-year-old has been terrific to begin the 2024 campaign, registering a 1.90 ERA with a 33:4 K:BB over 23.2 frames.     Advice: Payamps entered the ninth inning with two runners on in a 1-0 game. After plunking Ivan Herrera to load the bases, he walked Brendan Donovan to let the tying run score.     Flaherty allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out 10 during the win over Minnesota.

    Advice: Flaherty was tagged with a two-run shot in the first inning but turned in four shutout frames after that. The Twins later pushed across two unearned runs in the sixth. Flaherty's produced a terrific 30:3 K:BB through 24.1 innings this season. That 11.1 K/9 is currently a career-high and his first time producing a double-digit number in that category since the 2020 campaign. He also set a new season high with 19 whiffs.     Advice: Contreras gets the better of big bro Willson Contreras on Friday night. The younger Contreras drove in Blake Perkins twice in the victory, and the second was the biggest; an RBI single in the 10th to ultimately give Milwaukee the victory. Contreras is now slashing an outstanding .361/.440/.597 over the first 72 at-bats in 2024. What a pickup he’s been for the Brewers over his first two seasons in Milwaukee.     Advice: The run was unearned because it was the extra-inning runner that ended up scoring. Helsley gave up an RBI single to William Contreras that gave Milwaukee a 2-1 lead, and Helsley his second loss of the season.
