      Turner went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI during Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Cubs.

      Advice: Turner homered off Hayden Wesneski in the third inning to give Philadelphia a 3-0 lead, and then again in the fifth to put the team in front 5-1. An RBI single in the seventh frame capped off the Phillies' scoring and gave Turner his sixth hit in the past two games. The 31-year-old shortstop is now slashing .367/.406/.667 with two homers and six RBI over his last seven games and has recorded four multi-hit performances in that span.       Judge went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Reds.

      Advice: Judge accounted for half of the Yankees' hits Tuesday, including a solo home run in the seventh inning off Sam Moll. The long ball was Judge's 32nd of the season, five more than any other player in baseball.     • Trea Turner homers twice in win over Cubs
      Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Cubs.

      Advice: Turner hit a solo homer in the top of the third inning to give the Phillies a 3-0 lead and later returned to hit a two-run shot in the fifth inning to push the lead to 5-1. The Phillies start shortstop now has five homers on the season and has hit safely in five of his last six games. Turner is slashing a solid .338/.386/.487 on the season but hasn’t offered much as far as steals are concerned, which could be chalked up to the hamstring injury he returned from a few weeks ago.     • Judge has three hits, HR in loss
      Aaron Judge went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a solo home run in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday.

      Advice: This Judge guy is pretty good. The big man is now up to an absurd 32 home runs and 83 RBI on the season while slashing .321/.440/.718.       Ray (elbow) will make his next rehab start Thursday with Triple-A Sacramento, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: The left-hander covered 3.2 frames in his previous outing for Sacramento on Friday, and he'll continue building up his workload with the Triple-A affiliate. Ray made four rehab starts in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and is now scheduled for a third appearance at Triple-A as he makes his way back from Tommy John surgery.       Robbie Ray (elbow) will make a minor league rehab start on Thursday for Triple-A Sacramento.

      Advice: Ray is progressing towards a midseason return to San Francisco’s starting rotation mix as he completes his rehabilitation from last year’s Tommy John surgery.     • MacKenzie Gore denied win after strong showing
      MacKenzie Gore allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings and struck out eight Monday against the Mets.

      Advice: Gore was at 104 pitches, so it’s kind or understandable that he was pulled in the sixth. Still, he seemed to be very much in control at that point. He’d given up just a soft single before rebounding to retire the next two batters in the sixth. The Nationals pulled him with a 2-0 lead in favor of Derek Law, and the Mets, aided by a CJ Abrams error, went on to score three runs in the frame. That Gore didn’t get a win will probably save the Nationals about $100,000 in arbitration this winter, so they have that going for them. Rotoworld Monday, 7:32 pm

    • Fans eight in no-decision
      Gore did not factor into the decision in Monday's 9-7 loss to the Mets, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: The Washington southpaw created an incredible 21 whiffs to collect his eight punchouts, and he left the game with the Nationals ahead 2-0 only to watch Derek Law immediately cough up the lead. This was a bounce-back performance for Gore as he struggled in five June starts with a 5.13 ERA across 26.1 innings. The 25-year-old's season ERA now stands at 3.47 with 107:29 K:BB over 90.2 innings. He is tentatively scheduled to make his next outing against the Cardinals at home this weekend.       Brown (6-5) earned the win Monday against Toronto, allowing two hits and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: The Houston right-hander continued his torrid hot streak, tossing an eighth consecutive quality start. Over those eight outings, Brown has gone 5-1 with a 1.29 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 53:14 K:BB across 49 innings. Despite sporting a 9.78 ERA after his first 23 innings, the 25-year-old has now lowered his overall ERA to 4.07 in 86.1 total innings.
