    • Slugs 10th homer
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and two walks in Friday's win at Minnesota.

Advice: The veteran third baseman cracked a 404-foot, three-run blast off Kody Funderburk in the ninth inning for his first long ball since June 3. This marks the seventh season Bregman has reached double-digit homers in his nine-year career. Despite the recent power outage, the Houston third baseman has still been hitting well over his last 25 games, batting .295 (31-for-105) with 18 runs scored and 11 RBI. • Shelled for six runs in loss
Lopez (8-7) took the loss Friday against Houston, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Despite not allowing a homer, the Minnesota right-hander managed to yield six or more runs for the fourth time this season. Lopez generated a paltry eight whiffs out of his 91 pitches as Houston was dialed in on his arsenal. The 28-year-old now sports a disappointing 5.18 ERA across 99 innings on the season. He looks to bounce back in his next start, tentatively scheduled to be versus the White Sox in Chicago. Rotowire.com Today, 8:45 pm

    • Trea Turner smacks two homers in win over Braves
Trea Turner went 2-for-5 with two two-run home runs in an 8-6 win over the Braves on Friday.

Advice: Good things have come in pairs for Turner who’s two two-run shots off Max Fried gave the Phillies a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. This was also the second time in four games Turner hit two long balls and his fourth multi-hit game in five contests. Deuces are officially wild for Turner. Rotoworld Today, 7:50 pm

    • Jason Foley miraculously escapes with save Friday
Jason Foley surrendered a pair of runs in the ninth inning on Friday night, but managed to miraculously escape with a one-run lead intact against the Reds to earn his 14th save of the season.

Advice: Foley came on with a three-run lead to protect in the ninth inning, but immediately made things interesting by allowing an infield single to Elly De La Cruz — who then stole second and took third on a balk. Spencer Steer smacked a one-out RBI single to make it a bit closer and Nick Martini followed with an RBI triple that put the tying run at third base with only one out. Tyler Stephenson then hit a ground ball to third, where Blake Dunn was cut down at the plate attempting to score. Foley then allowed a single to Noelvi Marte before finally getting Santiago Espinal to ground out to first to end it. Foley now sports a 3.26 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and a 24/9 K/BB ratio over 30 1/3 innings on the season to go with 14 saves and a pair of victories. Rotoworld Today, 7:46 pm
    • Goes deep twice
Turner went 2-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's win over Atlanta.

Advice: Turner belted a two-run shot in the fourth inning followed by another in the sixth. He's gone deep five times in 16 games since returning from the injured list, with four of those coming in his last four games. Turner has knocked multiple hits in eight of those 16 games, good for a .338 (24-for-71) average. On the year, he's slashing .341/.386/.510 with 21 extra-base hits and 22 RBI through 49 contests. • Drew Thorpe strikes out five in win over Marlins
Drew Thorpe was terrific in Friday night’s victory over the Marlins in Miami, surrendering just one run on three hits over his 6 1/3 innings of work.

Advice: The rookie right-hander punched out five batters on the night while issuing a pair of free passes. He held the Marlins scoreless through the first six frames, but returned for the seventh where he allowed a one-out double to Dane Myers before turning the ball over to the bullpen — and he ultimately scored. Thorpe generated 10 swings and misses on 90 pitches on the night — nine of those on his changeup — while posting an underwhelming CSW of 21 percent. He’ll see if he can replicate this success as he carries a 3-1 record, 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and an 18/14 K/BB ratio (26 2/3 innings) into his final start of the first half on Wednesday against the Twins. • Not facing lefty
Kjerstad is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Kjerstad will take a seat Friday with southpaw Hogan Harris on the mound for Oakland. Austin Hays, Colton Cowser and Anthony Santander will fill the outfield from left to right. Rotowire.com Today, 4:16 pm
    • Heston Kjerstad sits against left-hander on Friday
Heston Kjerstad is not in the Orioles’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the Athletics in Oakland.

Advice: Once again the 25-year-old slugger finds himself on the sideline with an opposing left-hander on the hill. Austin Hays will start in left field for the Orioles on Friday night and will bat sixth against Hogan Harris and the Athletics. Rotoworld Today, 4:07 pm
    • Remaining in rotation
Scott is scheduled to start Monday's game in Pittsburgh.

Advice: After being called up from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday to make his first start for the Mets since May 30, Scott took a no-decision in a 7-5 loss to the Nationals, covering 5.2 innings while surrendering four earned runs on six hits and two walks. Despite the underwhelming results, Scott will get at least one more chance to make a case for a more permanent spot in the New York rotation. Through six outings with the Mets this season, Scott has gone 0-2 with a 4.32 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB across 33.1 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 11:10 am
