    • Out against right-hander again
Yoshida is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: Yoshida didn't start Tuesday, either, but Red Sox manager Alex Cora had indicated the 30-year-old would be back in the lineup Wednesday. That's not the case, as the lefty-hitting Yoshida is sitting out a second straight contest against a right-hander. According to Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican, Cora hasn't provided clarity whether Yoshida is dealing with an injury or is simply being held out of the lineup for performance-related reasons, as Yoshida is slashing just .250/.333/.375 over 21 contests this season. Rafael Devers will serve as Boston's designated hitter Wednesday while Yoshida remains on the bench. Rotowire.com Today, 11:35 am
    • Sitting against southpaw
Wade is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: As per usual, the lefty-hitting Wade finds himself on the bench while the Giants face off against a left-handed starting pitcher (Sean Manaea) in the series finale. Wilmer Flores will replace Wade at first base and as the Giants' No. 2 batter. Rotowire.com Today, 9:59 am

    • Enters as pinch hitter
Yoshida entered Tuesday's game as a pinch hitter and was hit by a pitch in a 4-1 loss to Cleveland.

Advice: Yoshida was held out of the starting lineup against a righty, with Red Sox manager Alex Cora explaining that decision was more about getting Tyler O'Neill's bat in the lineup and less about Yoshida, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports. Yoshida will be back in the starting lineup Wednesday, per Cora. Rotowire.com Today, 4:48 am
    • Short start in loss
King (2-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Rockies, allowing six runs (four earned) on eight hits and three walks while striking out five in 3.2 innings.

Advice: King had given up just one run through three innings before things took a turn for the worst in the fourth. Two singles and an error loaded up the bases before King served up a grand slam to Brendan Rodgers to give the Rockies their first lead of the game. The damage didn't stop there, as King would then find himself with the bases loaded again in that same inning and walked in another run before finally being pulled. After flirting with a no-hitter his last time out, King had arguably his worst start of the year and has given mixed results through his first six outings. The 29-year-old now owns a 4.11 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 34:18 K:BB in 30.2 innings. He'll look to get back in the win column versus the Phillies this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 4:00 am

    • Delivers fourth career shutout
Fried (2-0) threw a complete-game shutout Tuesday in Atlanta's 5-0 win over Miami, striking out six while allowing three hits and no walks.

Advice: Fried's performance Tuesday marked the fourth time he's thrown a complete-game shutout in his career and was the third time he's done so in less than 100 pitches, needing just 92 pitches to get 27 outs. Despite his incredible showing, the 30-year-old southpaw still owns a 4.97 ERA through his first five starts, but he'll have plenty of momentum on his side heading into his next outing -- tentatively scheduled for Monday in Seattle. • Michael King gets roughed up in fourth in loss
Michael King was tagged for six runs — four earned — in 3 2/3 innings by the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: King’s first start at Coors Field was going OK until the fourth, when two singles, an error and a grand slam gave the Rockies the lead. Alas, that still wasn’t the end of it, as King went on to allow a single, a double, an intentional walk and an unintentional walk to push in another run. He was finally pulled at that point, and Stephen Kolek was able to strand the bases loaded. King dropped to 2-2 with a 4.11 ERA. He’s still a decent enough play versus the Phillies next time out. • Swipes two more bags
Turang went 1-for-2 with a walk and two stolen bases in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Turang is now 12-for-12 in stolen base attempts this year, tying Elly De La Cruz for the league lead. After a disappointing rookie campaign, the 24-year-old Turang has gotten off to an excellent start this season, batting .319 with an .847 OPS, two homers, 12 runs scored and nine RBI through 21 games. • Justin Turner totals two hits in loss to Royals
Justin Turner went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday’s loss to the Royals.

Advice: Turner singled in the third inning to drive in George Springer, upping his RBI total on the season to 12. His single ended an 0-for-10 streak and lifted his average to .310 on the season. The veteran infielder continues to serve primarily as the Blue Jays designated hitter while hitting near the middle of a potent lineup. As long as he stays hot, Turner can be counted on to produce in multiple categories for fantasy managers.

    • Up to seven saves
Clase earned the save Tuesday against the Red Sox, striking out three in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Called upon to protect a three-run lead in the ninth, Clase made quick work of the middle of Boston's order, striking out the side en route to his seventh save this year. Clase's allowed just one hit in his last four innings while logging seven strikeouts in that span. He lowered his ERA to 0.75 with a 0.92 WHIP and 13:1 K:BB across 12 innings this season.
