    • ATL-STL postponed Tuesday
Lopez won't face the Cardinals on Tuesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Tuesday's game will be made up Wednesday as part of a doubleheader, and Lopez will get the nod to start the earlier of the two games. The 30-year-old righty hasn't allowed an earned run in 11 innings over his last two starts and will be facing a Cardinals offense that currently ranks 10th in the NL with a .687 OPS. • Jordan Westburg reaches five times in losing effort
Jordan Westburg went 4-for-4 with an RBI on Tuesday in the Orioles’ loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Westburg wound up reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances on Tuesday night in a high-scoring affair at Camden Yards. The 25-year-old infielder has vastly outperformed expectations in the first half, batting .283 (79-for-279) with 40 runs scored, 13 homers, 46 RBI and six stolen bases across 73 games. • Works out of leadoff role Monday
Bleday hit leadoff for the first time this season in a loss to the Angels on Monday, going 1-for-4.

Advice: Max Schuemann led off Saturday and Sunday against the Twins following Abraham Toro's (hamstring) placement on the injured list, but the rookie went 0-for-8 with four strikeouts in that pair of games. That led to manager Mark Kotsay shaking things up Monday, deploying Bleday in the leadoff role for the first time. While the slugging outfielder may not seem like the prototypical candidate for the job on the surface, Bleday does have a solid .335 on-base percentage, 10.7 percent walk rate and 18.4 percent strikeout rate that speak to a level of plate discipline befitting a spot atop the order. • One bad inning Monday
Schwellenbach (1-3) took the loss Monday against the Cardinals, giving up four runs on eight hits over five innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Advice: The rookie didn't pitch badly overall, but he lost focus in the third inning and allowed all four of the runs against him thanks to five hits and a wild pitch. It was the first time in five big-league starts that Schwellenbach hasn't issued a free pass, and he's gone three straight outings without serving up a homer, providing hope that he can provide some stability to the back of Atlanta's rotation. The 24-year-old right-hander lines up to make his next start at home this weekend against the Pirates. Rotowire.com Today, 6:28 am
    • Drives in three in win
Steer went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Monday's 11-5 win over Pittsburgh.

Advice: Steer sparked the Reds' offense with a two-run double in the fourth inning, then singled in a run as part of the team's four-run sixth. Following a 13-game stretch in which he had just three RBI, Steer has knocked in five over the last three games. He leads Cincinnati with 48 RBI, which ranks 20th overall in MLB. • Goes deep in loss
Garcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Garcia gave the Rangers a 3-1 lead with his sixth-inning blast, though the advantage was wiped out on a Rhys Hoskins grand slam in the bottom of the frame. As with Hoskins, Garcia's homer ended an extended power drought -- the outfielder hadn't gone deep in any of his past 17 games and had driven in just one run during that span. Garcia is tied for the Rangers' lead with 14 long balls on the season, but he's below pace to match the 39 homers and 107 RBI he racked up last year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:51 pm

    • Burleson has another two-hit game Monday
Alec Burleson went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and an RBI against the Braves on Monday.

Advice: Burleson started the scoring with an RBI double in the third inning off Braves starter Spencer Schwellenbach. He’s had at least two hits in four consecutive games and five of his last six games. He’s 11-for-24 (.458) with 10 runs scored, three home runs, nine RBI and a double over his last six games. Burleson is hitting .289 with a .798 OPS and 33 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:21 pm
