He's now batting a solid .273, and the 27-year-old will retain decent fantasy value as long he's starting most days. It remains to be seen what the Tigers will do when Urshela or Ibanez returns, though Vierling will likely shift into a utility role, as he's capable of playing in the outfield as well as at the hot corner.     Aaron Judge went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer on Wednesday, powering the Yankees to a decisive 7-3 victory over the Athletics.

    Advice: Judge’s ongoing struggles at the dish haven’t gone unnoticed by fantasy managers, but he managed to put together a couple solid at-bats in this one, taking Athletics starter Joe Boyle deep for a two-run shot in the opening frame. It was his fourth round-tripper of the season and first time leaving the yard since April 14.   • Wilyer Abreu collects four more hits in victory
    Wilyer Abreu went 4-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI against the Guardians on Wednesday.

    Advice: The Red Sox would have been perfectly justified in sending down Abreu at the end of the spring or 10 days into the season, but he’s on some kind of tear now, having gone 13-for-25 with two homers, five doubles, seven RBI and three walks in his last six games. He’s even reached on errors twice during the span. His season OPS is all of the way up to .954, and it looks like he’ll be a fixture in right field until he cools off, making him at least a short-term option in mixed leagues.     Bryan Reynolds clubbed a two-run homer on Wednesday night, providing all of the Pirates’ offense in a losing effort against the Brewers.

    Advice: The 29-year-old slugger got the Bucs on the board in the home half of the third inning, launching a 402-foot (103.1 mph EV) two-run shot off of right-hander Bryse Wilson that pulled the Pirates to within a run at 3-2. That would be as close as they would get. Reynolds also drew a walk and struck out twice in the ballgame, finishing the night 1-for-3.     Advice: Rafaela made a fifth consecutive start at shortstop, which could be his primary home for the rest of the season. While his defense in center field will be missed, moving him to the infield allows the Red Sox to get better bats into the lineup.     Advice: McCarthy slotted in for Lourdes Gurriel, who was rested for an afternoon tilt following a night game. McCarthy has been on a roll, hitting safely in seven of eight contests at 9-for-24 (.375) with three walks, two steals, three RBI and five runs. He'll continue to make three or four starts per week until Alek Thomas (hamstring) is ready to return.     Blue Jays placed OF Kevin Kiermaier on the 10-day injured list with left hip flexor inflammation.

    Advice: Kiermaier suffered the injury during Tuesday’s game against the Royals and he wasn’t feeling much better on Wednesday, so the Blue Jays were forced to place him on the injured list.     Advice: Nootbaar doubled in his final at-bat of the contest to send home Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt, giving the Cardinals a 4-1 lead. It was only the left fielder's fourth multi-base hit of the season, though he's now driven in two runs in two of his last three games.
