• Exits with back stiffness
Jones was removed from Tuesday's game against the Padres due to back stiffness, Kelsey Wingert-Linch of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports.

Advice: Jones went 1-for-4 with an RBI during Tuesday's contest to break an 0-for-25 stretch at the plate, but he was replaced in left field after striking out in the sixth inning. The severity of his injury is unclear, but the Rockies will likely offer more details on his condition ahead of Wednesday's game. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago

  • Tauchman homers twice, drives in four vs. Astros
Mike Tauchman went 2-for-3 with two homers and four RBI in the Cubs’ win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Tauchman’s home run came just shortly after Cody Bellinger kicked things off with a two-run homer of his own. Tauchman’s blast, his first of the year, plated three runs in total and pushed the Cubs out to a 5-0 lead, which proved to be more than enough for the Cubs, but Tauchman was just getting started. In the bottom of the eighth, Tauchman would send a 400-foot blast to center for his second homer of the day, padding the Cubs’ already solid lead. Tauchman is just above league average in exit velo and barrel rate this season. We wouldn’t read too much into this mini-power surge. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

  • Kyle Tucker tallies two hits in loss to Cubs.
Kyle Tucker went 2-for-3 with a double and run scored in Tuesday’s loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Tucker and the Astros played catchup all evening after a five-run first by the Cubs created an immediate deficit that proved too much to overcome. Tucker and Jose Altuve were the lone Astros to record multiple hits on the evening, as Tucker now has multi-hit performances in three of his last four games. He continues to stay hot batting in the middle of the Astros’ lineup and remains a top fantasy asset. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

  • Larnach homers, drives in two vs. White Sox
Trevor Larnach went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

Advice: Larnach belted a two-run homer in the eighth inning to draw the Twins within a run. His homer would prove crucial, as a solo homer by Byron Buxton in the ninth inning tied the game at 5-5 and put the twins in position for the win a few batters later. Run production has been hard to come by for Larnach, but he’s hit well since being called up and is currently slashing .350/.417/.750. Rotoworld 49 minutes ago

  • Eloy Jiménez homers, drives in three vs. Twins
Eloy Jiménez went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Twins.

Advice: Jiménez got the scoring started for the lowly White Sox in the fourth inning when he got the best of Pablo López and sent a 417-foot blast into the left-field stands to put his team up 3-1. As has been the case for many White Sox players, Jiménez has largely underwhelmed to start the season. He entered the day batting .176, and Tuesday’s homer marks just his second of the season. He’s hard to trust as anything more than a desperation play until his bat heats up. Rotoworld 55 minutes ago

  • Getting MRI on knee
Thomas will receive an MRI on his left knee Wednesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.comreports.

Advice: Thomas injured his knee while swiping a bag in the fifth inning of Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers. Once the results of his imaging come back, a better picture will emerge regarding the severity of his injury, as well as an estimate for how much time -- if any -- the 28-year-old will miss. Thomas is slashing .184/.250/.253 across 96 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com 57 minutes ago

  • Lane Thomas to undergo MRI on left knee
Lane Thomas will undergo an MRI on Wednesday on his left knee.

Advice: It’s certainly not what fantasy managers want to hear after Thomas made an early exit from Tuesday’s showdown against the Dodgers after twisting his left leg on a stolen base attempt. There should be an update on his status prior to Wednesday’s showdown. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for the moment, but it’s possible he’ll wind up requiring a trip to the injured list. Rotoworld 59 minutes ago

  • Pavin Smith hits grand slam, plates six in blowout
Pavin Smith went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and six RBI on Tuesday, lifting the Diamondbacks to a 14-1 blowout victory over the Cardinals.

Advice: Smith delivered a two-run double in the fifth inning before walloping a grand slam off Cardinals reliever Zach Thompson in the ensuing frame that ostensibly put the contest away for good. Rotoworld Today, 7:23 pm

  • Lawrence Butler homers in loss to Yankees
Lawrence Butler went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: Butler’s home run made the best use of his confines since it was only 362 feet and would only have been a home run at Yankee Stadium. However, he did also record a 110.8 mph groundout early in the game. The home run was just his second of the season and his triple slash now stands at .190/.301/.333. He’s not producing much right now, but he’s locked into an everyday spot in the lineup and is showing improved plate discipline from last season. He has the power/speed to be an intriguing fantasy player, but he’s not producing enough yet to be rostered in most formats. Rotoworld Today, 7:15 pm
