    • Back in action Thursday
Raleigh (mouth) will catch and bat third in Thursday's game versus the Rangers.

Advice: Raleigh had to miss Wednesday's contest following a dental procedure, but he'll be back in there for Thursday's series finale in Texas. The switch-hitting catcher enters play Thursday having homered in four of his last five games. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago

    • Likely back at third base Saturday
Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Thursday that Devers (knee) isn't comfortable enough yet to play third base but will likely return to the position Saturday versus the Cubs, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: The good news is Devers is well enough to hit, as he'll be the club's designated hitter again Thursday after homering from the spot in his return to the lineup Wednesday. The Cubs are starting left-hander Shota Imanaga on Friday, so it's possible the lefty-hitting Devers will rest that day before returning to third base Saturday. With Devers (twice) and Tyler O'Neill (once) occupying the DH spot the last three days, Masataka Yoshida has been on the bench. However, it sounds like Yoshida should be back in there soon enough. • Reinstated from paternity leave
The Phillies reinstated Harper (personal) from the paternity leave list Thursday.

Advice: Harper missed the first three games of the series in Cincinnati after welcoming his third child into the world, but he's back for the series finale in Cincinnati. The two-time MVP will start at first base and bat third against the Reds. Rotowire.com Today, 7:16 am

    • Phillies activate Bryce Harper from paternity list
Phillies activated Bryce Harper from the paternity list.

Advice: After a few days off to celebrate the birth of a child, Harper joins the Phillies in their series finale against the Reds. He’ll look to extend his hitting streak to seven games and get the Phillies back on track after consecutive losses to Cincinnati. Rotoworld Today, 7:15 am

    • Homers in loss
Reynolds went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Reynolds got the Pirates on the board in the third inning with a two-run shot off Bryse Wilson, Pittsburgh's only two runs in the eventual defeat. It's the third homer of the year for Reynolds and his first extra-base hit in 13 games. The switch-hitting outfielder is now slashing .263/.386/.411 with 15 RBI, nine runs scored and a pair of stolen bases through 25 games this season. Rotowire.com Today, 7:14 am

    • Bryan Reynolds clubs two-run bomb in losing effort
Bryan Reynolds clubbed a two-run homer on Wednesday night, providing all of the Pirates’ offense in a losing effort against the Brewers.

Advice: The 29-year-old slugger got the Bucs on the board in the home half of the third inning, launching a 402-foot (103.1 mph EV) two-run shot off of right-hander Bryse Wilson that pulled the Pirates to within a run at 3-2. That would be as close as they would get. Reynolds also drew a walk and struck out twice in the ballgame, finishing the night 1-for-3. For the season, he’s now hitting .263/.386/.411 with three homers, 15 RBI and a pair of stolen bases through his first 25 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:34 pm

    • Returns with bang
Devers went 3-for-4 with a walk, home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-0 win over Cleveland.

Advice: Devers was in the lineup for the first time in a week while dealing with a bone bruise in his left knee. He returned as the designated hitter and recorded his first multi-hit game since Opening Day. The next hurdle for Devers will be playing a game in the field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:24 pm

    • Jhoan Duran to make another rehab outing on Friday
Jhoan Duran (oblique) will make another appearance in a minor league rehab game on Friday.

Advice: Duran looked electric in his first appearance at Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, despite allowing a pair of runs on four hits. He also struck out three batters, fired 15 of his 27 pitches for strikes and averaged 98.1 mph on his heater. If all goes well with Friday’s outing, he could then be cleared to rejoin the Twins’ bullpen. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:27 pm

    • Another rehab outing on tap
Duran (oblique) is scheduled for a second rehab appearance with Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Advice: According to Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com, the right-hander averaged 98.1 mph with his fastball -- down a couple ticks from the usual triple digits -- and surrendered two runs on four hits over one inning during Tuesday's rehab outing, but he felt fine physically during and after the appearance. Duran said he dealt with some mechanical issues during spring training that affected his velocity, and it's possible those problems flared up again. It's unclear how many rehab outings the Twins are looking for, but the 26-year-old could return within the next week if he continues to progress with no issues. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:33 pm
