      Advice: Walker kicked off the Diamondbacks' fun with a three-run blast in the third inning. It was the first of three Arizona homers, as later Kevin Newman (two-run shot) and Pavin Smith (grand slam) added to the rout. For Walker, it was his first home run since April 2, snapping an 18-game drought. With four homers in 25 games to start the 2024 season, Walker is behind the pace established the last two seasons when the first baseman launched 36 (2022) and 33 homers (2023); however, he had just four April home runs in each of those two previous seasons.       Grayson Rodriguez was pummeled for seven runs and 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings Tuesday in a loss to the Angels.

      Advice: Rodriguez blamed the poor showing on leaving too many pitches down the middle of the plate. He got 14 missed swings and seven strikeouts, but 10 of the 14 balls in play against him were hard hit. It’s his first loss of the year, leaving him 3-1 with a 4.45 ERA.       Advice: Thomas injured his knee while swiping a bag in the fifth inning of Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers. Once the results of his imaging come back, a better picture will emerge regarding the severity of his injury, as well as an estimate for how much time -- if any -- the 28-year-old will miss.     • CJ Abrams has three hits in loss to LAD
      CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 and was caught stealing in a loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.

      Advice: All three of Abrams’ hits were singles, but Abrams is now slashing .316/.372/.671 on the season. He was hitting leadoff even against a lefty and continues to make a tremendous amount of contact. The only blemish is that this was the second time Abrams was caught stealing this year to go along with four steals.       Advice: It’s certainly not what fantasy managers want to hear after Thomas made an early exit from Tuesday’s showdown against the Dodgers after twisting his left leg on a stolen base attempt. There should be an update on his status prior to Wednesday’s showdown.       Advice: Thomas appeared to tweak his left leg while stealing a base in the fifth inning, though he remained in the game briefly before being replaced on defense ahead of the seventh.       Advice: Casas suffered the injury on a swing during Saturday's game in Pittsburgh and was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday. It's a vague timetable provided by Cora, but a clearer picture should be available in the coming days and weeks.
