      Nolan Arenado went 3-for-3 with a three-run homer and two walks on Saturday against the White Sox.

      Advice: That’s back-to-back games with two hits and three RBI for Arenado. He knocked a base hit in the first inning, then drew a walk in the fourth. With two runners on base in the fifth, he took Erick Fedde deep for a three-run homer, his second of the season. Arenado drew another walk in the eighth and knocked a base hit in the tenth to reach base in all five plate appearances.       Gausman (2-3) picked up the victory Saturday, tossing 5.1 shutout innings on three hits and two walks against the Nationals. He struck out eight.

      Advice: The Nats made Gausman throw a season-high 112 pitches to get through his 5.1 frames, but the right-hander was able to keep them off the scoreboard. Gausman's eight strikeouts were his highest total this season, and he boasted a 48 percent whiff rate on his splitter. The righty's velocity remains down, but he's allowed just two earned runs over his last four starts and finally piled up some strikeouts in this one.       Kevin Gausman struck out eight batters over 5 1/3 scoreless innings for the win against the Nationals on Saturday.

      Advice: Gausman has now put together four excellent starts after struggling through his first three. He scattered three hits and two walks, striking out a season-high eight batters on 14 whiffs. He pitched into the sixth, leaving with one out at 112 pitches.       Luis Arraez will serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff in his Padres’ debut against the Diamondbacks on Saturday night.

      Advice: The sweet-swinging 27-year-old was hitting .299/.347/.372 with zero homers and five RBI through 148 plate appearances with the Marlins. He’ll now serve as the catalyst for a Padres’ offense that could use a boost at the top of the order.       Carlos Correa went 0-for-3 and drove in a pair of runs on Saturday as the Twins triumphed over the Red Sox.

      Advice: Correa drove in the Twins’ first run in the opening inning with an RBI ground out off of Brennan Bernadino. He then added a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning that extended their lead to 3-1.     • Aaron Judge ejected for first time in career
      Aaron Judge was ejected for arguing balls and strikes during Saturday’s game against the Tigers. He went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored before exiting.

      Advice: That’s the first time Judge has been ejected from a game in his MLB career. Judge appeared to judge — pun intended — the pitch correctly, as the offering appeared to be quite a bit outside of the strike zone. Trent Grisham has taken over in center.       Bellinger (ribs) is set to do hitting and defensive drills Saturday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

      Advice: Bellinger landed on the injured list April 24 after fracturing his right rib against the Astros the day prior. It's a good sign that the 2019 NL MVP is taking the first steps in his rehab, and Cubs manager Craig Counsell suggested that Bellinger could return to the club next week, per Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com. In Bellinger's absence, Pete Crow-Armstrong has served as the primary starter in center field and is slashing .259/.250/.444 with one home run and seven RBI over 29 plate appearances this season.       Padres acquired Luis Arraez and cash considerations from the Marlins for OF Dillon Head, OF Jakob Marsee, 1B Nathan Martorella and RHP Woo-Suk Go.

      Advice: What was announced Friday is official Saturday. Arraez will head to the Padres after hitting .299 with a 719 OPS over 137 at-bats with the Marlins in 2023, and he’s a career .324/.377/.423 hitter in his time with the Fish and the Twins.
