    • Moves to leadoff
Smith batted leadoff and went 2-for-4 in Thursday's 3-1 loss to San Diego.

Advice: Smith was moved up to leadoff, as a slumping Marcus Semien was given a rare day off. Smith continues to be a surprise and leads the Rangers with a 2.7 WAR. He should continue to see regular work at third base with Josh Jung (wrist) not expected to return until after the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 6:22 am

    • Robbie Ray completes Triple-A rehab start
Robbie Ray (elbow) allowed three runs over three innings on Thursday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Ray struck out three and only issued one walk. He gave up only two hits, but one of them wound up leaving the yard. The 32-year-old southpaw is in the closing stages of his recovery from last year’s Tommy John surgery and figures to be ready to make his San Francisco debut right around the All-Star break. • Smacks two-run homer
DeJong went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Thursday's 8-4 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: DeJong took Ben Lively yard in the sixth inning, bringing Gavin Sheets around to score. DeJong is up to 16 home runs on the year and owns a .219 ISO, his best tally since 2017. The veteran shortstop is 9-for-35 (.257) with a pair of homers, six RBI and five runs scored over his last nine games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:12 pm

    • Scores four times
Miranda went 5-for-5 with three doubles, four runs and three RBI during Thursday's 12-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Despite Thursday's game being called after seven innings due to inclement weather, Miranda had his first career five-hit game, besting his previous total of three hits. The outing also extended Miranda's hit streak to eight games, a stretch where he's 15-for-30 with 10 RBI. Although Miranda had been a regular piece of the Twins' lineup anyway, he'll own an even more secure role while Royce Lewis (groin) is shelved. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:11 pm

    • Albies has two-hit game in loss to Giants Thursday
Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored against the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Albies doubled in the first inning off Logan Webb and Jared Kelenic ended up scoring on a throwing error by Mike Yastrzemski. Albies also came around on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Austin Riley. Albies has 24 doubles on the season. He’s hitting .257 with a .712 OPS on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:10 pm

    • Collects 22nd save
Suarez allowed a walk during a scoreless inning of relief Thursday to pick up the save against the Rangers. He struck out one.

Advice: Suarez picked up the save for the second-consecutive day, giving him 22 in 23 opportunities on the season. Suarez has not allowed a run in 32 of his 35 appearances, posting an ERA of 1.02 with a 0.76 WHIP and 33 strikeouts over 35.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:59 pm
    • Goes six innings in no-decision
Burnes allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners.

Advice: Burnes, who welcomed twins over the weekend, was strong in his return to the mound. He threw 62 of 94 pitches for strikes, but he gave up both runs in the fifth inning, including one on a solo home run by Julio Rodriguez. Burnes has posted a quality start in all but one of his last 13 outings, though this was just the second time in his last seven starts that he didn't come away with a win. He has an excellent 2.32 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 105:25 K:BB through 112.2 innings over 18 starts this season. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Cubs and should be set to pitch on a regular schedule with the Orioles electing for a five-man rotation moving forward. • Corbin Burnes tallies six strikeouts vs. Mariners
Corbin Burnes struck out six and allowed two runs over six innings on Thursday in a no-decision against the Mariners.

Advice: Burnes set down 12 straight batters to open the contest, and carried a shutout into the fifth inning, before coughing up a gargantuan solo homer to Mariners struggling superstar Julio Rodríguez. He proceeded to load the bases with nobody out in the frame, but managed to wriggle out of the jam with only one run crossing the plate. The overall strikeout total doesn’t seem that impressive, but he generated an eye-popping 18 swinging strikes and finished with a 31 percent CSW. The 29-year-old fantasy ace will bring a sparkling 2.32 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 105/25 K/BB ratio across 112 2/3 innings (18 starts) into a home outing on Wednesday against the Cubs in his final start prior to the Midsummer Classic. • Robert Suarez quiets Rangers to collect 22nd save
Robert Suarez fired a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday against the Rangers to record his 22nd save of the season.

Advice: Suarez came on to face the bottom of the Rangers’ lineup in the final frame with a two-run lead in hand and immediately got into trouble by issuing a leadoff walk to rookie sensation Wyatt Langford. Fortunately, he was able to get Leody Taveras to ground into a fielder’s choice before striking out Travis Jankowski and coaxing a game-ending ground out from Jonah Heim. He’s converted a staggering 22 of 23 save opportunities this season and figures to be named to the senior circuit’s All-Star Game roster in the coming days. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:12 pm
