      Luzardo (2-4) took the loss Tuesday against the Marlins, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four in six innings.

      Advice: Luzardo managed to reach six innings for a third consecutive start, but never had a shot for a win after the Marlins were shut out. The Padres quickly got to him in the first with a two-run blast from Jurickson Profar and then Profar notched another RBI in the fifth. It was the first time Luzardo has allowed runs in the opening frame this season.       Pfaadt (2-4) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss versus the Rangers on Tuesday.

      Advice: Pfaadt covered at least six innings for the sixth start in a row, but this was the third time this year he's allowed at least four earned runs -- Josh Smith had an RBI single in the third inning and Corey Seager continued his power surge with a three-run home run in the fifth.       Jesús Luzardo lost Tuesday after allowing three runs in six innings against the Padres.

      Advice: Even a third straight scoreless outing wouldn’t have gotten Luzardo a win tonight, as the Marlins were shut out by the Padres. At this point, Luzardo is just playing out the string until an inevitable midseason trade. He’ll take a 2-4 record and a 4.18 ERA into his next start versus the Rays.       Brandon Pfaadt allowed six hits and four earned runs over seven innings in the Diamondbacks’ loss to the Rangers.

      Advice: Pfaadt got some early run support in the second inning but the Diamondbacks were unable to keep pace with the Rangers, who hung three runs on Pfaadt in the fifth inning via a Corey Seager three-run homer. Pfaadt allowed three or more earned runs in three of his five starts in May, and picked up just one win on the month.       Rodriguez (5-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Red Sox, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out 10.

      Advice: Rodriguez got off to a rocky start Tuesday, allowing a pair of runs in each of the first two innings. The 24-year-old Rodriguez would settle in and hold Boston off the board over his final four frames while recording a career-high 10 strikeouts. However, the Orioles couldn't overcome the early deficit in the eventual 8-3 defeat. It's the first time since April 23 that Rodriguez has allowed more than two earned runs in a start -- he'd gone 2-0 with a 1.08 ERA in his previous three outings. Overall, he sports a 3.53 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP and 61:21 K:BB across 51 innings this season. Rodriguez's next start is currently scheduled for early next week in Toronto.       Grayson Rodriguez allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.

      Advice: The Red Sox jumped on Rodriguez early, scoring four runs on five hits in the first two innings, but the 24-year-old responded with four shutout innings to end his day. He also struck out 10 batters and walked just one on the day while posting a 38 percent whiff rate and 40 percent CSW. It mostly came down to location with Rodriguez on Tuesday. The pitches the Red Sox hit hard were either pitches that Rodriguez missed his spots on or pitches early in the count that he was simply trying to throw over the plate.       Miller (shoulder) will make his next minor-league rehab start Friday or Saturday and is scheduled to throw about four innings, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Miller allowed three runs and threw 55 pitches over three frames in his first rehab outing Sunday with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, and it's no surprise he'll require at least one more appearance in the minors before rejoining the Dodgers.       Advice: Ryan dominated the Royals, generating an impressive 15 whiffs en route to his nine punchouts.     • Joe Ryan strikes out nine in win over Royals
      Joe Ryan recorded nine strikeouts and allowed one run over seven innings on Monday in a win over the Royals.

      Advice: Ryan authored yet another stellar performance on Monday afternoon at Target Field, carrying a shutout into the sixth inning before Kansas City finally broke through courtesy of a two-out RBI single from Vinnie Pasquantino. It was his highest single-start strikeout total since a 12-punchout performance back on April 13 against the Tigers as he induced 15 swinging strikes, including 11 on his fastball, and finished with a robust 33 percent CSW. He’s rapidly cementing his status as an upper-echelon fantasy contributor, having allowed three earned runs or fewer in 10 of his 11 starts at the outset of the season.
