      Austin Riley (side) is back in the lineup for Monday’s game against the Nationals.

      Advice: Riley missed 13 straight games with a side injury, but the Braves opted not to put him on the IL. With Ronald Acuna Jr. now out for the season, the Braves are certainly ecstatic to bring Riley back into the fold.       Lodolo (groin) was activated from the 15-day injured list Monday ahead of his scheduled start against the Cardinals.

      Advice: An extended bullpen session last Wednesday put Lodolo in the clear to return after the minimum, and without a rehab assignment. The left-hander has pitched brilliantly in between IL stints this season, posting a 3.34 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 43:9 K:BB over 35 innings. While he may not be available for 90-plus pitches right away in his return, there has been nothing to suggest Lodolo will face any major restrictions against St. Louis.       Riley (side) will start at third base and bat second in Monday's game against the Nationals.

      Advice: Riley wound up missing just over two weeks (and 13 games) of action with a nagging left intercostal strain but is finally ready to rejoin Atlanta's lineup.       Suarez picked up the save in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Yankees, striking out two while allowing one run on two hits in 1.1 innings.

      Advice: Suarez came in with two runners on and two out in the eighth to face Aaron Judge and bested him with a strikeout. He returned for the ninth and started off by allowing a home run to Alex Verdugo but was able to get the job done from there. The home run was the first run Suarez has given up since March 28. He continues to be one of the most dominant closers in baseball this year, as he's now tied for third with 15 saves and owns a 0.76 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 23:5 K:BB in 23.2 innings.       Scott picked up the save Sunday in a 3-1 win over the Diamondbacks, throwing a perfect ninth while striking out a batter.

      Advice: Scott faced no trouble from the Diamondback hitters Sunday. He sent them down in order on 15 pitches and struck out Eugenio Suarez to end the game. Scott has not allowed an earned run since April 14 and finished May with three wins, three saves and a hold in nine appearances.       Happ went 2-for-3 with two home runs, a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Cardinals.

      Advice: Happ's two home runs were the only source of offense for the Cubs in Sunday's loss. He first had a two-run shot off Andrew Kittredge in the seventh before following that up with a solo blast against Ryan Helsley in the ninth. Happ doubled his home run total on the season and put together his first multiple RBI effort since April 16. He now has six hits over his last five games but is still slashing just .224/.335/.362 with 15 extra-base hits, 17 RBI, 25 runs and a 27:57 BB:K in 203 plate appearances.       Ian Happ blasted a pair of home runs on Sunday night and drove in three, but it wasn’t enough to power the Cubs to victory over the Cardinals in St. Louis.

      Advice: Happ finally got the Cubs on the board with his 409-foot (107.1 mph EV) two-run shot off of right-hander Andrew Kittredge in the seventh inning. He then led off the ninth inning with a 425-foot (107.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Ryan Helsley that pulled the Cubs to within a run at 4-3. That would be as close as they would get.       Juan Soto doubled, walked and drove in a run as the Yankees fell to the Padres on Sunday afternoon in San Diego.

      Advice: The 25-year-old superstar broke a scoreless tie with a run-scoring double off of Joe Musgrove in the sixth inning. That would wind up being the Bombers’ only tally until the ninth inning.       Tanner Scott slammed the door on the Diamondbacks in the ninth inning on Sunday, working a scoreless frame to protect a two-run lead and earn his seventh save of the season.

      Advice: Scott made it look awfully easy in this one, getting Randal Grichuk on a pop up to third base, Gabriel Moreno on a ground ball to shortstop and Eugenio Suarez on strikes to end it.
