      Advice: Riley broke the game open in the seventh frame with his three-run shot to center field that gave Atlanta an 8-1 lead. It was the second straight contest with a long ball for the third baseman following a 23-game homerless stretch (and a 45-game span during which he went deep only once). Riley may finally be getting his power on track, but with just five long balls through 233 plate appearances, he'll be hard-pressed to reach 30 homers for the fourth straight season.       Juan Soto blasted his 18th home run of the season on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Yankees past the Red Sox in Boston.

      Advice: Soto victimized Justin Slaten for his 392-foot (105.1 mph EV) solo shot in the seventh inning that pulled the Bombers to within two runs at 5-3. He also drew a pair of walks in the contest, finishing the evening 1-for-3 officially.       Austin Riley went 1-for-2 with a home run and two walks in a win over the Rays on Saturday.

      Advice: That’s now homers in back-to-back games for Riley, who might be starting to wake up a bit. There wasn’t much under the hood that looked “off” with Riley this year, but he was being pitched differently and not being given much he could turn on, which had hurt his pull power.       Randy Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Braves on Saturday.

      Advice: Arozarena was hitless until a 403-foot big fly in the ninth inning. It was his ninth of the season and just his 21st RBI all year. The 29-year-old also struck out once and is hitting just .175/.284/.325 on the year. While the overall numbers are bad, there are no glaring red flags to point to. He’s swinging and missing slightly more and is perhaps being a bit too passive this season, potentially leading to worse overall contact quality.       Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a win over the Padres.

      Advice: Nimmo got the scoring going with an RBI double in the fourth inning and then tacked on an extra run with an RBI single in the eighth.       Rogers (1-8) took the loss to the Nationals on Saturday, allowing two runs on six hits and no walks with three strikeouts over seven innings.

      Advice: Rogers allowed runs on a sacrifice fly by Joey Meneses in the first inning and a solo homer run by Lane Thomas in the third. Rogers logged his best outing of the season but was simply outdueled by rookie DJ Herz, who posted six scoreless innings with 13 strikeouts. Rogers had walked four batters in back-to-back contests, so his command Saturday was certainly a positive.       Trevor Rogers allowed two runs with three strikeouts across seven innings in a loss to the Nationals on Saturday.

      Advice: Trevor Rogers had one of his better starts, going a season-high seven innings against the Nationals. He allowed a run in to score in the first inning on a single, double, and sacrifice fly. Lane Thomas later hit a solo homer in the third. Rogers would settle in for four more scoreless frames, but was saddled with a no-decision as the Marlins were shut down by DJ Herz.
