    • Nabs 10th save
Yates picked up the save over the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing one walk over a scoreless ninth inning while striking out three.

Advice: Yates had a bit of a hard time getting through the ninth after entering the contest with a two-run lead, surrendering a leadoff walk to Teoscar Hernandez on five pitches and advancing him to second base on a balk. However, the veteran reliever made short work of the next three batters, getting all three to go down swinging as he secured his 10th save in as many chances. Yates has been solid in the closer role for Texas thus far and holds a 1.11 ERA on the campaign. He's also recorded multiple strikeouts in three of his last four appearances and has yet to surrender a home run in 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 7:04 am
    • Remains red hot Thursday
Correa went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run and an additional RBI in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Correa gave the Twins their first lead with a run-scoring single in the third inning and capped the scoring in the contest with a two-run homer to left field in the seventh. The veteran shortstop finished with his sixth multi-hit performance over his past eight contests, and he's slashing a jaw-dropping .545/.568/.758 with two homers, eight runs and nine RBI over that span. The hot stretch has pushed Correa's season slash line to .299/.363/.481, and he has six long balls, 31 RBI and 30 runs through 212 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 12:51 am

    • Records quality start in victory
Ryan (5-5) earned the win over Oakland on Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out five batters over seven innings.

Advice: Ryan surrendered a two-run homer to Tyler Soderstrom in the second inning, but those were the only runs the A's managed against the righty hurler. Ryan finished with a stat line very similar to his previous outing, when he gave up two runs on three hits over seven frames versus Pittsburgh, though that performance came in a losing effort. The 28-year-old pitcher has four quality starts over his past five appearances and has posted a 2.73 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 32:7 K:BB across 33 frames during that span. Rotowire.com Today, 12:42 am

    • Kirby Yates whiffs three in save against Dodgers
Kirby Yates struck out three in a scoreless ninth to get a save against the Dodgers on Thursday.

Advice: Yates did allow a walk, but this was a much better effort than the one he had Wednesday when he picked up a save but was fortunate to not blow the opportunity. The right-hander has been outstanding for the overwhelming majority of 2024, and this scoreless outing gives him a 1.11 ERA along with 10 saves. He isn’t giving up this closing gig. Not anytime soon, anyway. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:09 pm
    • Likely stuck at Triple-A, for now
Scott allowed one run on five hits and one walk while striking out six over 3.2 innings for Triple-A Syracuse against Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.

Advice: Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said earlier this week -- prior to Scott's outing Wednesday -- that the plan was for the right-hander to remain at Syracuse for the time being, per Alex Smith of SNY. "We're still having conversations, but with all the off days we have coming up, we feel like a five-man rotation is what's best for us moving forward," Mendoza said. The 24-year-old Scott has struck out 49 batters in 34 innings with Syracuse this season, though he has also struggled to keep the ball in the yard, both at Triple-A and in his brief time in the majors so far. He should be up again later this season, but the organization seems to be pumping the brakes on an imminent return. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:03 pm
    • Correa has home run, three hits, three RBI vs. A’s
Carlos Correa went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, three RBI, and a home run against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Correa has been absolutely on fire at the plate lately. He’s hitting 18-for-33 (.545) with two home runs and nine RBI in his last eight games. Correa’s average is suddenly up to .299 with 31 RBI on the season. Despite only having six home runs total this year, his fantasy value is undeniable. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:42 pm

    • Crushes three-run homer in win
O'Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in a 9-3 win over the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: O'Neill singled in the first inning then broke the game open in the fourth, crushing a three-run homer off Aaron Nola that traveled 430 feet over the Green Monster. After returning at DH from a knee injury Wednesday, O'Neill got the start in right field and hit his first home run since May 19. O'Neill endured a terrible May, hitting .151 with two home runs and five RBI over 73 at-bats but has opened June going 7-for-16 with a homer and five RBI in just five contests. Health has always been a concern for O'Neill, as he has eclipsed 100 games played in a season just once, but he is now slashing .256/.356/.512 with 12 home runs in 2024. • Ryan picks up fifth win against A’s Thursday
Joe Ryan allowed two runs in seven innings and got the win in the Twins’ 6-2 victory over the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Ryan gave up three hits, walked one and struck out five. The win was his fifth of the year. Both of the runs for Oakland came on a Tyler Soderstrom two-run home run in the second inning. Ryan hung a splitter to Soderstrom, but it was basically the only mistake he made on the night. It was Ryan’s 10th quality start of the season. His ERA is now 3.24 on the year. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Rays at home next week.

    • O’Neill crushes 12th home run Thursday
Tyler O’Neill went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run against the Phillies on Thursday.

Advice: O’Neill’s home run was his 12th and his first since May 19th against St. Louis. He was back in right field after missing Tuesday’s game with knee discomfort and occupying the designated hitter spot on Wednesday. Fantasy managers have to be pleased with these developments.
