    • Earns win in setup role
Leclerc (1-2) picked up the win Thursday, allowing two walks and striking out two over one scoreless inning in a 9-7 victory over the Tigers.

Advice: It was a wild affair in Detroit, as the Tigers came back from 4-0 and 7-4 deficits before the Rangers put it away in the final two innings. For Leclerc, it was his first time in what would be a considered a high-leverage spot since he was removed as the team's closer last weekend. He entered with two outs and two inherited runners in the seventh inning and escaped without damage. He became the pitcher of record an inning later when Texas broke a 7-7 tie. He worked around a pair of walks in the eighth before Kirby Yates came in for a four-out save. Since Leclerc lost the closer's job, the right-hander has not allowed a run and struck out six over four innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:10 pm
    • Collects fifth save
Iglesias walked one in a scoreless 10th inning Wednesday to record his fifth save of the season in a 5-4 win over the Astros.

Advice: After Atlanta grabbed the lead in the top of the 10th, Iglesias walked Kyle Tucker on five pitches to lead off the bottom of the frame and set up a double play, and the right-hander got one from Jeremy Pena to end the game. Iglesias is still looking for his peak velocity -- he topped out at 94.6 mph with his sinker Wednesday, below last season's 95.0 mph average -- and he has just a 3:1 K:BB through his first 6.1 innings. However, the 34-year-old is 5-for-5 in converting save chances and sports a 2.84 ERA and 0.95 WHIP. His job as Atlanta's closer remains secure. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:31 am
    • Swipes first bag
Nootbaar went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's loss to the Athletics while also drawing a walk.

Advice: Nootbaar actually spoiled what could have been a productive start for the Cardinals' offense in the first inning when he grounded into a double play after the first two batters reached base to open the frame. He did, however, do his best to make up for it in his next at-bat, opening the fourth inning with a single before coming around to score St. Louis' first run on a Willson Contreras double. The left fielder has now hit safely in four of his first six games to open the season and even swiped his first bag in Wednesday's loss. He'll look to record his first multi-hit game of the campaign this weekend when the Cardinals host the Brewers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:03 am
    • Offensive catalyst in win
Raleigh went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in a win over the Reds on Wednesday.

Advice: Several Mariners hitters enjoyed solid offensive performances Wednesday, but Raleigh set the pace with his three trips on the basepaths. That included the backstop's co-team-high third homer of the season, which erased an early 1-0 deficit for Seattle in the second inning. Raleigh has now reached safely in five straight games, and a career-high 13.1 percent walk rate has helped him get to a .311 on-base percentage despite an uninspiring .208 average. • Throws sim game
Bradley (pectoral) threw around 50 pitches in a simulated game Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Bradley threw the session at the Rays' spring training facility, which marks a significant step in his recovery. He's nearing a rehab assignment, but the team has stated it wants to ensure he regains his stamina before pushing him too hard. A return in the first half of May remains realistic if Bradley doesn't suffer any setbacks. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:19 pm

    • Cal Raleigh homers, plates two to lead Mariners
Cal Raleigh homered and drove in a pair of runs on Wednesday afternoon, powering the Mariners to a 5-1 victory over the Reds in Seattle.

Advice: Raleigh tied the game at one run apiece with a 384-foot (104.0 mph EV) solo shot off of left-hander Andrew Abbott in the home half of the second inning. He also capped off the scoring in the ballgame as he worked a bases-loaded walk in the seventh inning. The hard-hitting backstop finished the day 1-for-2 officially and is now hitting .208/.311/.377 with three long balls and six RBI on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:39 pm

    • Raisel Iglesias gets save in 10th inning
Raisel Iglesias protected a one-run lead in the 10th for a save Wednesday against the Astros.

Advice: Iglesias walked Kyle Tucker to start the 10th, but he then got a flyout and a double play to strand the automatic runner and end the game. He has five saves and a 2.84 ERA in 6 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Wednesday, 2:55 pm
    • Gets first day off of season
Crawford is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

Advice: The Mariners are wrapping up their series against Cincinnati with a day game after a night game and a lefty (Andrew Abbott) is on the hill for the Reds, so Seattle skipper Scott Servais likely felt that it was an opportune time to give the lefty-hitting Crawford a day off. Crawford will cede shortstop to Dylan Moore while Julio Rodriguez replaces Crawford atop the batting order. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:31 pm

    • First multi-hit game of season
Crawford went 2-for-5 with a run in a win over the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: Crawford's multi-hit effort was his first of the season -- a much-needed shot in the arm for his struggling bat. Crawford has now managed to reach safely in eight consecutive games, albeit while mustering just one extra-base hit in that sample. The veteran shortstop's slash line sits at a forgettable .171/.266/.257 across 79 plate appearances, but there aren't yet any discernible rumblings about a potential loss of playing time.
