    • Swipes two bags Friday
Bogaerts went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases Friday in a 3-1 win against Atlanta.

Advice: Bogaerts doubled his season stolen-base total with a swipe of second in both the fifth and eighth innings. Prior to Friday, the second baseman's most recent theft took place April 22. Bogaerts has had a subpar start to the season with a .220/.268/.319 slash line through 194 plate appearances, but he's begin to come on of late, batting .350 with two homers and two RBI during his current five-game hitting streak. • Unlikely to return next week
LeMahieu (foot) could come off the injured list during the Yankees' West Coast road trip that begins May 24, though manager Aaron Boone stated Friday that the veteran infielder is unlikely to be activated at the beginning of that nine-game stretch, per MLB.com.

Advice: LeMahieu restarted a minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on Friday, going 1-for-2 with a single while playing three innings at third base. Boone stated earlier in the day that "it's possible" LeMahieu will be activated during New York's road swing against the Padres, Angels and Giants that starts May 24, but the skipper added that he doesn't expect that to happen at the start of the trip. LeMahieu is expected to get the day off Saturday before participating in his second rehab game Sunday, and Boone suggested that the organization plans to be cautious with the 34-year-old's rehab, explaining, "Part of the reason it has taken a long time is because he and us are going to be absolutely committed to this thing not being an issue when he goes to play." • Homers, draws three walks Friday
Judge went 1-for-1 with a solo home run, an additional run and three walks in Friday's 4-2 win against the White Sox.

Advice: Judge belted a 433-solo shot to left field in the first inning to plate the first run of the game. Chicago pitchers didn't bother with him thereafter, walking the slugger in each of his remaining three plate appearances, with one of the free passes being intentional. After a subpar start to the season, Judge has turned things around of late, slashing .475/.604/1.150 with six homers, nine doubles, 12 RBI, 14 runs and a 12:7 BB:K over his past 12 contests. • Idle Saturday
Cabrera isn't in the Yankees' lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Cabrera will sit down Saturday after going 0-for-3 with a strikeout during New York's win over the Sox on Friday. His absence will give Jon Berti a chance to start at the hot corner while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 am

    • Logs three hits, steal in win
Chapman went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a hit-by-pitch, an RBI, a stolen base and three runs scored in Friday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Chapman has gone 9-for-32 (.281) over his last eight games as he finally seems to be finding a rhythm at the plate. He got the Giants on the board with an RBI double in the first inning and continued to be involved in the team's subsequent rallies. The third baseman is slashing .218/.273/.362 with five home runs, 10 doubles, 20 RBI, 25 runs scored and four steals through 187 plate appearances this season. While his rate stats are well below his usual standards, the recent improvements are a reason for optimism, especially as he continues to hit in the heart of the order for a lineup devastated by injuries. • Matt Chapman doubles twice, scores three runs
Matt Chapman doubled twice and scored three runs while driving in one in a win over the Rockies on Friday.

Advice: Chapman has gone through it for most of the 2024 season, but things have looked better — for the most part — the past week. The infielder is only hitting .218 over the first six weeks of the campaign, but this has been a streaky hitter for the majority of the campaign, and it’s certainly possible he’s entering a hot run right now. • Xander Bogaerts swipes two bases against Braves
Xander Bogaerts collected two singles and two steals versus the Braves on Friday.

Advice: The least struggling hitters can do is steal a few bases for those rostering them in fantasy leagues. Bogaerts doubled his steal total for the season tonight, collecting two in a game for the first time since last May 5. He now has 12 two-steal games in his career, which is kind of impressive because he has just 81 career steals. He has only eight two-homer games, though he’s totaled 179 homers in his 12 seasons. • Skubal allows one hit over six to improve to 6-0
Tarik Skubal allowed one hit in six scoreless frames to help the Tigers to a 13-0 drubbing of the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Skubal didn’t issue a walk and struck out six while improving to 6-0 on the season. The southpaw has had no issue carrying over the dominant finish to his 2023 campaign, and this strong outing lowered his ERA to 1.80 with a remarkable 66/8 K/BB. Simply put, SKubal has established himself as one of the true fantasy aces in baseball right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:23 pm
    • Six shutout innings for sixth win
Skubal (6-0) allowed just one hit and struck out six over six shutout innings to earn the win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The Tigers' offense was explosive Friday, but Skubal was excellent in his own right in his best outing of the campaign. This was his sixth straight quality start, as well as the fourth time he's avoided walking a batter this season. The southpaw is now at a 1.80 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 66:8 K:BB through 55 innings over nine starts. He's projected to make his next start at Kansas City. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:12 pm
