    • Reynaldo López strikes out 5 vs. Red Sox
Reynaldo López allowed one earned run and six hits over 5 1/3 innings in the Braves’ 4-2 win over the Red Sox.

Advice: López was solid through five innings, but three walks in the sixth – one of which walked in the Red Sox first run of the night – led to him being replaced by Aaron Bummer. He would only be charged with one earned run before the inning finally ended. López scattered six hits across his outing, and pitched his way out of a dicey first inning to leave two runners stranded. López has allowed three runs or fewer in each of his six starts this season, and will look to earn his first win of May on Monday against the Cubs. Rotoworld 53 minutes ago

    • Cristopher Sánchez shuts down Blue Jays in win
Cristopher Sánchez allowed one run on six hits over seven innings in a win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Advice: Sánchez took advantage of a reeling Blue Jays lineup, allowing just two extra-base hits while striking out five and walking two. The changeup did most of the heavy lifting for Cristopher Sánchez, posting a 55 percent whiff rate and 39 percent CSW. The left-hander had a 23 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW on the day, as the sinker didn’t miss many bats, but the slider pounded the zone for strikes. The effort lowers his ERA to 3.22 and he gets another solid matchup against the Mets next week. Rotoworld Today, 6:41 pm
    • Burnes allows three earned runs in loss to Nats
Corbin Burnes allowed five hits and three earned runs over 6 1/3 innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Nationals.

Advice: Burnes needed 50 pitches to get through the first three innings and allowed his first run in the second inning when Joey Meneses singled home Jesse Winker. He allowed four base runners through the first three innings but would settle in to retire nine of 10 hitters in innings four through six. He’d be chased quickly in the seventh after a leadoff double by Joey Meneses was followed by RBI singles from Eddie Rosario and Trey Lipscomb, but it was an otherwise solid outing for Burnes, who lacked offensive support in this one. He’ll look to tally his first win of May when he toes the rubber Monday against the Blue Jays. Rotoworld Today, 6:16 pm

    • Bryan Bello returning Sunday against Nationals
Bryan Bello (lat) struck out five over 2 2/3 innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Double-A Portland.

Advice: Bello told reporters following the 52-pitch rehab outing that he’ll start on Sunday against the Nationals at Fenway Park instead of making any additional rehab tune-ups. The 24-year-old righty has been out since late April due to right lat tightness. Rotoworld Today, 4:54 pm

    • Returning Sunday
Bello (lat) said Tuesday that he will start Sunday's game against the Nationals, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: Bello made a rehab appearance Tuesday at Double-A Portland, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out five batters across 2.2 innings. Despite his unremarkable performance, the right-hander said he came away from the start without any pain and is ready to return to Boston's rotation. Bello holds a 3.04 ERA and 1.05 WHIP across 26.2 innings so far this year. Rotowire.com Today, 4:25 pm

    • Homer, five RBI in win
Semien went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, five total RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 15-8 victory over the Athletics.

Advice: Semien led off the game with a solo blast off Ross Stripling before driving in three more runs with a pair of hits in the Rangers' 10-run second inning. Semien would add a fifth RBI with his fourth hit in the fourth. The 33-year-old second-baseman had gone nine games without a homer prior to Wednesday's contest, going 8-for-40 with just two RBI in that span. He's now slashing .266/.314/.449 through 37 games this season with six homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and a stolen base. Rotowire.com Today, 3:56 pm

    • Marcus Semien powers Rangers to 15-8 rout of A’s
Marcus Semien went 4-for-5 with a leadoff homer and five RBI on Tuesday, powering the Rangers to a 15-8 blowout victory over the Athletics.

Advice: Semien set the tone with a leadoff blast -- his sixth round-tripper of the season -- off Athletics starter Ross Stripling before adding a pair of run-scoring hits as part of Texas’ 10-run explosion in the ensuing frame. The 33-year-old ironman has shown zero signs of slowing down as he approaches his mid-30’s, batting .266 (42-for-158) with 27 runs scored, six homers, 27 RBI and one stolen base through 37 contests. • Sitting again Tuesday
Soler (shoulder) isn't in the Giants' lineup for Tuesday's game against Colorado, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Although Soler's shoulder injury has now kept him out of the lineup for three consecutive games, the Giants have not said anything that would suggest a future move to the IL for the 32-year-old slugger. His absence Tuesday will allow Wilmer Flores to serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth. Rotowire.com Today, 2:24 pm

    • Jorge Soler (shoulder) out Tuesday vs. Rockies
Jorge Soler (shoulder) remains absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Rockies.

Advice: It’s a tough break for fantasy managers as Soler will wind up missing an extremely favorable matchup against Rockies righty Dakota Hudson at Coors Field. The 32-year-old righty has been out since last weekend due to right shoulder soreness. He remains day-to-day for now. It’s possible he’ll be available off the bench, but that remains to be seen. It’ll be Wilmer Flores at designated hitter in his absence. Rotoworld Today, 2:22 pm
