Mitch Garver belts first home run in win over Reds
Mitch Garver belted his first home run as a member of the Mariners in Wednesday afternoon’s victory over the Reds.
Advice: The 33-year-old slugger belted a go-ahead 393-foot (105.4 mph EV) solo shot off of left-hander Andrew Abbott in the sixth inning, putting the Mariners ahead to stay. That was his only hit in three at-bats on the day, though he did draw a walk as well. The first couple of weeks of the season have been a real struggle for Garver, who is still hitting just .160/.283/.280 with a homer and four RBI.
