    • Walker Buehler (ineffective) could land on IL
The Dodgers are considering stashing Walker Buehler on the injured list after his poor performance at Coors Field against the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: It appears this was being discussed even before Buehler gave up seven runs to Colorado, and now the Dodgers have a perfect excuse after Buehler was hit in the hip by a comebacker tonight. Buehler has a 5.84 ERA in eight starts since returning from Tommy John surgery, and the Dodgers are about to get Bobby Miller back from the IL, though he’ll be going into Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s slot. Landon Knack might be the choice to replace Buehler. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:31 pm

    • Surrenders seven runs
Buehler allowed seven runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out two over four innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: Buehler has struggled at times this season since he returned from Tommy John surgery, and a trip to Coors Field did him no favors for getting on track. He's struck out three or fewer batters in each of his last three starts, and this was the third time this season he's given up multiple home runs in an outing. Buehler is at a 5.84 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB with 10 homers allowed over 37 innings across eight starts. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the White Sox, though Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports that Buehler took a comebacker off the hip in Tuesday's game, which has generated some concern from manager Dave Roberts. Roberts added that Buehler may require a stint on the injured list, stretching thin a rotation that's also missing Yoshinobu Yamamoto (shoulder), though Bobby Miller (shoulder) will be back Wednesday. • Walker Buehler gives up seven runs to Rockies
Walker Buehler surrendered seven runs in four innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Rockies.

Advice: Sigh. Buehler’s velocity tonight was his worst since his rejoined the roster, and he got just three missed swings in his 70 pitches. That he was hit in the hip by a comebacker might have played some role in his struggles. We wouldn’t go dropping Buehler, who is still in a terrific situation with the Dodgers, but his early results in his first six weeks back from Tommy John definitely haven’t been as encouraging as hoped. He’s surrendered 10 homers and posted a 5.84 ERA in 37 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:20 pm

    • Locks down seventh save
Diaz earned the save in Tuesday's 7-6 victory over San Francisco, firing a scoreless inning during which he allowed one hit.

Advice: After an RBI double by Pete Alonso provided New York with the lead in the top of the ninth inning, Diaz entered in the bottom of the frame to gather his second save since returning from the injured list June 13. The flamethrowing closer yielded a leadoff single to Jonah Heim before inducing a groundball double play and flyout for his seventh save this season. After struggling with an 8.68 ERA over 9.1 innings in May, Diaz looks healthy again and has regained control of the Mets' closer role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:58 pm
    • Edwin Díaz works scoreless ninth for save
Edwin Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth with a one-run lead for his seventh save Tuesday against the Rangers.

Advice: The ninth started with a bloop single that third baseman Mark Vientos probably should have caught in shallow left, but it appeared he got spooked by Brandon Nimmo’s arrival. Fortunately, the ball was hit by Johan Heim, who settled for a single when an average runner might have gotten a double. A double play followed, and Díaz then got a flyout to end the game. • Volpe drives in one as Yankees down Orioles
Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with one RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Orioles.

Advice: Volpe got the scoring started for the Yankees in the second inning when he singled to drive in Austin Wells from third. Volpe’s hit was one of just six hits the Yankees tallied on the evening, as they managed to draw six walks, with five coming against Orioles starter Albert Suárez. • Kyle Tucker (shin) still not back to baseball activity
Kyle Tucker (shin) still hasn’t resumed baseball activities.

Advice: Astros manager Joe Espada said Tuesday that there was optimism Tucker would be able to resume some baseball activities by this point, but that hasn’t happened. The 27-year-old fantasy superstar has been out since early June due to a right shin contusion. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:19 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez out Tuesday due to family matter
Yordan Alvarez is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the White Sox due to a family matter.

Advice: The positive news here for fantasy managers is that Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters Alvarez could return as early as Wednesday. The 26-year-old slugger, who boasts a stellar .873 OPS with 14 homers and a career-high three steals this season through 71 games, is getting his first off day since May 18. • Dealing with family matter
Alvarez (personal) is absent from the Astros' lineup Tuesday versus the White Sox due to a family matter, according to manager Joe Espada, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Advice: Alvarez was set to take a seat for the first time since May 17, but it is now understood to be a result of a personal matter regarding his family. Espada said Tuesday that it's possible Alvarez is back with the team Wednesday, but his status appears to be day-to-day for the time being. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:32 pm
