    • Wins with quality start
Eovaldi (4-3) yielded two runs on four hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out six and earning a win over the Royals.

Advice: Eovaldi coughed up a solo shot to Kyle Isbel in the third inning and gave up one other run in the fifth. Since returning from the injured list, Eovaldi has produced a 4.01 ERA while going 2-1 through five starts, turning in two quality starts in his last three outings. He forced 15 whiffs Friday, his best total since April 20. The veteran righty owns a 3.14 ERA with a 70:25 K:BB through 66 innings this season. Eovaldi's next start is lined up to come in Baltimore. • Nathan Eovaldi fans six in victory over the Royals
Nathan Eovaldi snagged his fourth victory of the season on Friday night, limiting the Royals to two runs on four hits over his six innings of work.

Advice: The 34-year-old right-hander punched out six batters on the night while allowing two walks. He served up a solo homer to Kyle Isbel in the third inning and an RBI single to Garrett Hampson in the fifth but was able to limit the damage otherwise. Eovaldi got 14 swings and misses on 98 pitches on the evening, posting a CSW of 27 percent. He’ll see if he can keep the good times rolling as he carries a 3.14 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and a 70/25 K/BB ratio (66 innings) into Wednesday’s battle against the Brewers in Milwaukee. • Highly efficient in win
Nelson (5-5) earned the win Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits in seven innings against the White Sox. He struck out two.

Advice: Nelson needed just 70 pitches to complete a highly efficient seven frames, including 10 or fewer pitches in four of his seven completed innings. While he did allow a couple of batters to leave the yard, he never faced a stressful inning, as only one other batter made it as far as first base. Nelson likely had more in the tank, as he had thrown at least 80 pitches during each of his last eight starts, but the bullpen needed just 17 pitches over the final two innings to seal the victory. Nelson has three quality starts over his last four outings, allowing two runs or fewer in each of those three performances. He'll look to keep things rolling during his next start, likely to take place in the middle of next week when the Twins make the trip to Arizona. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:10 pm
    • Ryne Nelson fires seven strong in win over Nats
Ryne Nelson worked seven innings while giving up two runs to pick up a win Thursday over the Nationals.

Advice: Nelson allowed just three hits, and he struck out two while walking no one. He needed just 70 pitches to get through the seven frames, and outside of two solo homers, the 26-year-old pitched admirably. This also makes back-to-back strong starts for Nelson, as he has given up just three runs over those 13 innings. It’s worth pointing out that Washington and the White Sox were his opponents, however. Nelson will look to continue lowering his now 5.18 ERA against the Twins next Thursday. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:30 pm
    • Continues impressive stretch
Brown (4-5) earned the win against the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing one run on seven hits and no walks while striking out six batters over six innings.

Advice: The only run scored against Brown came on an Andrew Benintendi solo homer in the fourth inning. Otherwise, Brown was solid again -- all six of Chicago's other hits were singles, and the right-handed hurler didn't issue any walks for the second straight outing. Brown had an awful 9.78 ERA through 23 innings across his first six starts this season, but he's since lowered that mark to 4.72. He's been especially impressive of late, racking up six straight quality starts and limiting his opponents to one run over 19 frames while posting a 22:4 K:BB across his past three outings. • Hunter Brown holds White Sox to one run in win
Hunter Brown held the White Sox to one run with six strikeouts over six innings to earn the win on Wednesday.

Advice: Brown has been fantastic over his last several starts. The only run he allowed Wednesday came on a solo homer by Andrew Benintendi in the fourth inning. It was the only run he’s allowed over his last three outings. Brown scattered six other hits while striking out six batters to zero walks. The 25-year-old right-hander will take a 4.72 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and an 82/29 K/BB ratio across 74 1/3 innings into a start against the Rockies in Houston on Tuesday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:42 pm
    • Dodgers officially place Walker Buehler on IL
Dodgers placed RHP Walker Buehler on the 15-day injured list with right hip inflammation.

Advice: Buehler was hit in the hip by a comebacker during Thursday’s bloodbath at Coors Field, so it gives the Dodgers a viable reason to stash him on the injured list for a couple of weeks while he works through some of his struggles. Buehler has pitched to a woeful 5.84 ERA and a 1.51 WHIP over 37 innings in eight starts since returning from the injured list. Bobby Miller was activated from the IL in a corresponding move on Wednesday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:06 pm

    • Headed to injured list
Manager Dave Roberts said Buehler will be placed on the injured list Wednesday due to hip discomfort, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: The right-hander was struck in the hip by a comebacker Tuesday against the Rockies, but he was also battling a hip issue prior to that incident. Buehler surrendered seven runs during Wednesday's outing and has a 5.84 ERA through eight starts this season, and the IL stint will give him a chance to reset amid the struggles. He's without an official timeline for his return but seems likely to be sidelined beyond the 15-day minumum. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:20 pm

    • Settles for no-decision Wednesday
Suarez came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Padres, allowing one run on six hits over six innings. He struck out four without walking a batter.

Advice: The lefty was sharp as he delivered his 10th quality start of the season, firing 67 of 94 pitches for strikes, but he was locked in a pitchers' duel with Matt Waldron until the Phillies' bullpen and defense faltered after Suarez left the mound. The 28-year-old will take a 1.75 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 95:19 K:BB through 92.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week in Detroit.
