    • Retreating to bench Sunday
Freeman is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Though he's on the bench for Sunday's series finale, Freeman appears to have moved back into a quasi-everyday role with Will Brennan (ribs) recently landing on the injured list. Freeman, who has slashed .169/.272/.268 thus far in June, had started in each of the Guardians' last five games. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago

    • Gabriel Moreno (thumb) could return Tuesday
Gabriel Moreno (thumb) could be activated off the injured list as as soon as Tuesday, Jody Jackson of the Diamondbacks reports.

Advice: Moreno was placed on the injured list last Saturday with a sprained left thumb, and he’ll be eligible for activation Tuesday. The 24-year-old may get a couple extra days, but the Diamondbacks already announced they don’t believe he needs a rehab assignment, so it would take something unforeseeable for him not to be back before the middle of the week. • Sitting amid slump
Schneider is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Scheider has a .165/.221/.304 slash line through 25 games in June and will hit the bench Sunday after going 1-for-14 over his past six contests. Daulton Varsho will shift to left field while Kevin Kiermaier receives a start in center. Rotowire.com Today, 7:58 am

    • Taking seat Sunday
O'Neill is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: The 29-year-old started the previous five contests but will head to the bench for Sunday's series finale after going 0-for-8 with five strikeouts through the first two games versus San Diego. Jarren Duran will shift to left field while Emmanuel Valdez takes O'Neill's spot in the lineup. Rotowire.com Today, 7:21 am

    • Collects two hits, steals base
Turang went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base in a loss to the Cubs on Saturday.

Advice: Turang's speed was on display in the defeat -- he plated the Brewers' first run with an RBI bunt single in the third inning and followed the hit with a steal of second base. The swipe was his 28th of the season, second most in the majors. Fantasy managers should have been aware of Turang's speed coming into the campaign after he swiped 26 bags in 137 games last year, but the second baseman's other offensive stats have been a pleasant surprise. He's slashing .290/.354/.406 with five homers, 33 RBI and 39 runs through 317 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:04 pm

    • Stifles BoSox on Saturday
King (6-5) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings in a 11-1 rout of the Red Sox. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander blanked Boston for five innings before serving up a solo shot to Jarren Duran, but San Diego had already compiled a 10-0 lead by that point. King produced his first quality start since June 2, and his seventh of the season, on 89 pitches (63 strikes). He'll take a 3.61 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 115:39 K:BB through 99.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Diamondbacks. • Fans nine in quality start
Nola (9-4) took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on six hits over 6.2 innings in a 3-2 loss to the Marlins. He struck out nine without walking a batter.

Advice: The veteran right-hander delivered his third straight quality start and 12th of the season on 100 pitches (71 strikes), but Nola let a win slip through his fingers when he served up back-to-back doubles with two outs in the seventh inning, with both coming around to score the final runs of the game. Nola took his first loss since May 8, and he'll carry a 3.43 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 99:25 K:BB through 107.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Atlanta. • Reaches four times in win
Marte went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and one RBI in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Marte opened the scoring with an RBI single in the second inning, which was ultimately enough offense for Arizona to win. He's been good over the latter half of June, going 16-for-45 (.356) with seven extra-base hits and 12 RBI over his last 12 contests. Marte is at a .290/.352/.525 slash line with 17 home runs, 49 RBI, 55 runs scored, three stolen bases, 19 doubles and two triples across 80 games this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:33 pm

    • Starting Sunday
Castillo will start Sunday's game against the Twins, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Castillo was initially projected to start Tuesday at Baltimore but with Bryan Woo (hamstring) hitting the IL, Castillo will pitch Sunday on regular rest. The 31-year-old has surrendered four or more runs in three of his last four starts but owns a 3.79 ERA over 99.2 innings on the year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:05 pm
