    • May remain at first base
Steer started at first base and went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 9-5 loss to Pittsburgh.

Advice: Steer's been locked in of late, going 11-for-35 with eight RBI over the last nine contests. He began the season as the team's primary left fielder but has played a lot at first base since Christian Encarnacion-Strand (wrist) landed on the injured list in May. With news the Encarnacion-Strand opted for surgery that likely spells the end of his season, Steer is in line to become the club's primary first baseman. That could change when Noelvi Marte (suspension) returns. At that point, with Marte slotted in at third base, Jeimer Candelario could move from third to first. Rotowire.com Today, 5:10 am

    • Reaches 10-homer mark
Cowser went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 10-8 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Cowser has gone a modest 11-for-61 (.180) over 22 contests while seeing a part-time role in June. Five of his hits this month have gone for extra bases, and he's up to 10 homers on the year after Tuesday's long ball. He's slashing just .226/.317/.429 with 32 RBI, 29 runs scored and five stolen bases. Anthony Santander is about the only constant in the Orioles' outfield, leaving Cowser to compete with Cedric Mullins, Austin Hays and Heston Kjerstad for two positions on a regular basis. • Clubs leadoff homer in win
Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 4-3 win versus the White Sox.

Advice: The Dodgers' designated hitter crushed Chris Flexen's fifth pitch of the game 376 feet for a leadoff homer. Ohtani has now batted atop the order eight consecutive games while hitting .419 (13-for-31) with five homers, 14 RBI and 10 runs scored. The Japanese superstar may be on his way to a third MVP campaign, as he's slashing .318/.395/.626 with 24 homers, 63 runs scored, 60 RBI and 16 steals over 356 plate appearances this season. • Earns 25th save
Clase earned a save against the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks with one strikeout in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Clase was called upon to protect a 10-8 lead in the ninth inning and did so on just 14 pitches. Clase has eight saves in June and leads the American League with 25 total saves in what has been an amazing 2024 campaign. The 26-year-old is now 25-for-28 in save chances this season with a 0.70 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 39:4 K:BB in 38.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:48 pm
    • Ohtani homers, pushes RBI streak to nine games
Shohei Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

Advice: Chris Flexen’s fifth pitch of the night turned into a 400-foot homer by Ohtani to kick off the first inning. Ohtani’s homer extended his RBI streak to nine games, which ties the Dodgers’ single-season record. Ohtani would drive in another run in the fourth on an RBI single, as he’s now driven in 16 runs over this nine-game span. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:20 pm

    • Pasquantino drives in lone run for Royals in loss
Vinnie Pasquantino went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Pasquantino singled in the first inning to score Maikel Garcia from third after Garcia walked to kick off the inning and subsequently stole two bases. It would be the only run the Royals would score on the night as they found themselves in a pitching duel between Yonny Chirinos and Seth Lugo. Pasquantino now has eight home runs and 48 RBI on the season, and has hit safely in back-to-back games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:56 pm
    • Emmanuel Clase silences O’s to net 25th save
Emmanuel Clase tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday against the Orioles to record his 25th save of the season.

Advice: Clase was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning at Camden Yards and managed to work around a one-out double from pinch-hitter Cedric Mullins to notch another save. The hard-throwing 26-year-old stopper has picked up four saves in the last week alone as Cleveland continues stringing together victories. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:27 pm
    • Drives in three in win
Steer went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored in Monday's 11-5 win over Pittsburgh.

Advice: Steer sparked the Reds' offense with a two-run double in the fourth inning, then singled in a run as part of the team's four-run sixth. Following a 13-game stretch in which he had just three RBI, Steer has knocked in five over the last three games. He leads Cincinnati with 48 RBI, which ranks 20th overall in MLB. • Posts 16th save
Megill earned a save against Texas on Monday, striking out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Megill hit a batter with two outs in his inning of work, but it didn't cost him any runs. The right-hander was able to notch his 10th straight successful save conversion -- he hasn't blown an opportunity since May 20. Megill has proven to be a more-than-adequate fill-in for rehabbing closer Devin Williams (back), as he's tied for eighth in MLB with 16 saves (in 17 opportunities) while posting a 1.85 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 30:7 K:BB through 24.1 innings.
