    • Idle Thursday
Rutschman isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Thursday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Rutschman will get a day to regroup Thursday after being held hitless in 13 at-bats over his last four games. James McCann will instead get the nod to start at catcher while batting ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 10:12 am
    • Sits against left-hander
Busch is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Phillies.

Advice: Southpaw Cristopher Sanchez will be toeing the rubber for the Phillies, so the left-handed hitting Busch will grab a seat. Patrick Wisdom will handle first base and also the second spot in the Cubs' batting order. Rotowire.com Today, 8:17 am

    • Stingy in Wednesday's win
Fedde (6-3) picked up the win in Wednesday's 8-2 victory over the Guardians, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: The right-hander produced his ninth quality start of the season, and fourth in his last five trips to the mound, on 91 pitches (54 strikes). Fedde's control wasn't as sharp as usual -- he walked multiple batters for the first time since May 31 -- but Cleveland wasn't able to take advantage. Since the beginning of June. Fedde sports a 3.16 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB through 37 innings, and his value is only increasing if the White Sox decide to move him before the trade deadline. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Twins. Rotowire.com Today, 5:34 am
    • Homers in third straight game
Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, a walk, three runs and three RBI in a 9-2 victory versus the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Advice: Alvarez was a constant thorn in Toronto's side in the contest. He plated Houston's first run with a third-inning double, added a tiebreaking solo shot in the sixth inning and produced another RBI with a double in the eighth. Alvarez has gone deep in each of his past three contests, batting .545 (6-for-11) with three long balls, eight RBI and six runs over that span. Rotowire.com Today, 12:43 am

    • Collects two hits in loss
Busch went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Busch continues his strong first season with the Cubs, and he's now recorded a hit in eight of his last 10 games. Overall, the first baseman is slashing .262/.359/.448. Busch is also batting a solid .303 against lefties, though the Cubs have been generally limiting his exposure to southpaws. Even if Busch sees some days off here and there due to matchups, he's still looking like a decent fantasy option the rest of the year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:13 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez with three extra-base hits in win
Yordan Alvarez went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, three RBI, three runs scored, and a walk in the Astros’ 9-2 win over the Blue Jays on Wednesday.

Advice: Alvarez came into this game ready for Yusei Kikuchi’s fastball and twice put first pitch fastballs in play, once for a homer, and also worked a long at-bat that wound up in a double also off that same fastball. He also sliced another double late off Bowden Francis to break this game open for Houston. Watching him hit is a marvel. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:14 pm

    • Erick Fedde completes six in win over Guardians
Erick Fedde struck out three and allowed one run over six innings on Wednesday in a win over the Guardians.

Advice: Fedde wasn’t overpowering in this one, but he got plenty of run support from Chicago’s lineup and managed to limit Cleveland’s offense to just three hits and a trio of walks over six frames. A third-inning sacrifice fly from David Fry, on the heels of a leadoff double by Guardians rookie Daniel Schneemann, represented the lone tally against him in this one. The 31-year-old journeyman righty has settled in as a solid back-end rotation stabilizer for fantasy managers in his White Sox debut. He’ll carry a strong 3.13 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 94/28 K/BB ratio across 106 1/3 innings (18 starts) into a home outing against the Twins on Tuesday to close out the first half. • Does light running
Harris (hamstring) began running Wednesday, but there's still no timetable for when he'll be ready for a rehab assignment, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Harris suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain June 14 and was able to do some light running for the first time since sustaining the injury. Considering he still has multiple checkpoints to hit before being sent on a rehab assignment, Harris can safely be ruled out until after the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:01 pm

    • Hit hard in Tuesday's loss
Cease (7-7) took the loss Tuesday, coughing up six runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.2 innings as the Padres fell 7-0 to the Rangers. He struck out five.

Advice: The right-hander got no help from his offense, but Cease created his own problems by serving up six extra-base hits, including a pair of homers by Nathaniel Lowe. Cease has been tagged for four runs or more in three of his last four starts, walking multiple batters each time. He'll take a 4.24 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 130:32 K:BB through 102 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:58 am
