      Richie Palacios went 3-for-4 with a double, stolen base and an RBI as the Rays defeated the Royals in Kansas City.

      Advice: The speedy 27-year-old outfielder reached on an infield single off of Brady Singer in the second inning, advanced to third on a double by Jose Siri and scampered home with the game’s first run on a wild pitch. Palacios also drove in a run with a two-out RBI double off of John Schreiber in the sixth inning.     • George Springer homers in win
      George Springer went 1-for-4 with three RBI in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

      Advice: It’s been a good stretch for Springer of late, hitting .334 over his last 11 games with four home runs, 13 RBI, and one steal. He’s been making consistent contact all season but failing to lift the ball, which has limited his upside, but perhaps this recent stretch is the beginning of a bit of a resurgence. He remains in the lower third of the lineup, which will impact his run totals and he may struggle to top last year’s batting average and home run totals, but he should be a solid contributor in deeper fantasy formats, provided the Blue Jays don’t trade away a lot of their lineup at the deadline.     • Yordan Alvarez has two hits, three RBI in loss
      Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

      Advice: The home run was a 390-foot shot off Jose Berrios for Alvarez’s 18th home run on the season to go along with 46 RBI. He has battled some injuries during the year but remains one of the most consistent hitters in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:51 pm
       
    • Judge has three hits, HR in loss
      Aaron Judge went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a solo home run in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday.

      Advice: This Judge guy is pretty good. The big man is now up to an absurd 32 home runs and 83 RBI on the season while slashing .321/.440/.718.     • Soler hits 10th homer of season to down Braves
      Jorge Soler went 1-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Braves.

      Advice: Soler hit his 10th homer of the season on Tuesday night when he hit a 407-foot shot off Reynaldo López to give the Giants their first run of the game. Soler has now hit in three straight games and has driven in three RBI over that span while tallying five extra-base hits.     • D-backs activate Alek Thomas for Tuesday return
      Diamondbacks activated OF Alek Thomas from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: Thomas will make his long-awaited return to Arizona’s lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Dodgers after missing three months due to a hamstring strain and a couple setbacks during his rehabilitation process. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:36 pm

      The Diamondbacks reinstated Thomas (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

      Advice: Thomas suffered a left hamstring strain during the fourth game of the season, and multiple setbacks have contributed to his three-month absence. Now, after playing in 10 rehab games between the Arizona Complex League and Triple-A, the 24-year-old outfielder has been cleared to return to the big-league roster. It's possible the D-backs have him sit occasionally as he gets used to facing MLB pitchers again, but he'll almost certainly reclaim his role as Arizona's primary center fielder.       Carpenter (back) experienced discomfort Tuesday while completing his return-to-play progression, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Carpenter has been participating in baseball activities since June 21 and had been progressing well prior to enduring the setback. Carpenter will given some time off for rest and recovery before resuming baseball activities, all but guaranteeing he'll be out until after the All-Star break.       Tigers manager AJ Hinch told reporters that Kerry Carpenter (back) continues to make progress and participate in baseball activities.

      Advice: Hinch also noted that the progress is still slow for Carpenter as he works his way back from the lumbar injury that has sidelined the 26-year-old since the end of May. The outfielder will surely need a rehab assignment after missing over a month, but it’s feasible that Carpenter could help fantasy rosters and Detroit after the All-Star break.
