    • Notches 19th save
Clase walked one and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his 19th save of the season in an 8-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: It didn't look like Clase would even get a save chance when the Guardians fell behind 5-0 early, but the right-hander had little trouble securing the comeback victory. Clase is tied for the league lead in saves with the Cardinals' Ryan Helsley, and the Cleveland closer hasn't given up an earned run since April 14 en route to a sparkling 0.30 ERA and 0.63 WHIP through 30.1 innings with a 31:3 K:BB. • Exits early Tuesday
Flaherty was removed from Tuesday's game against the Rangers due to back tightness, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Flaherty had cruised through five shutout innings and thrown just 60 pitches before being suddenly pulled from the game. Manager A.J. Hinch said after the contest that the team still does not know the severity of the right-hander's injury, but the Tigers will presumably continue to run tests on his back and have an update on his status within the next couple of days. • Jack Flaherty left start due to back tightness
Jack Flaherty was removed from Tuesday’s start against the Rangers due to back tightness.

Advice: Flaherty said after the game that he thinks he’ll be able to make his next start, which was already due to come with a couple of extra days off. The 28-year-old righty has been outstanding this season in his Tigers debut and was lifted from Tuesday’s outing against the Rangers after striking out four over five scoreless frames. • Kutter Crawford has another rough start in loss
Kutter Crawford allowed six runs (four earned) on five hits in six innings in a loss to the Braves on Tuesday.

Advice: Crawford has now allowed 15 earned runs in 16 1/3 innings in his last three starts. However, those starts were also against the Brewers, Braves, and Orioles. He was never going to carry over the 1.75 ERA he had over his first eight starts, but he’s also not pitching as poorly of late as those earned runs totals would indicate. He induced 12 whiffs on 51 swings for a 24 percent whiff rate on the day and lines up for a much better start against the White Sox this weekend. He should still be rostered and started in almost all formats. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:22 pm

    • Hit hard by Atlanta
Crawford (2-5) took the loss Tuesday against Atlanta, allowing six runs (four earned) on five hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The right-hander surrendered three extra-base hits Tuesday, which resulted in five of the six runs scored by Atlanta while Crawford was on the mound. Ozzie Albies and Jarred Kelenic came around to score after hitting doubles before Albies went yard on a three-run blast in the sixth inning. Tuesday's start was the latest in a rough patch for the 28-year-old Crawford, who's allowed four or more earned runs in four of his last five showings. During that span, Crawford is 0-4 with a 6.43 ERA across 28.0 innings. However, a road start against the White Sox on Sunday could be exactly what he needs to get back on track. • Jack Flaherty exits Tuesday with possible injury
Jack Flaherty left Tuesday’s start against the Rangers with a possible injury.

Advice: Flaherty was cruising with four strikeouts and needed just 60 pitches (44 strikes) to navigate five scoreless frames before being lifted from the contest. No word yet on the reason for his removal, but Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press adds that Flaherty was spotted stretching in the dugout prior to his early exit. There should be an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:51 pm

    • Glasnow takes tough luck loss against Pirates
Tyler Glasnow allowed one run on three hits over six innings in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Glasnow allowed a solo home run to Jack Suwinski in the third inning and that was all the Pirates needed to earn a win behind a strong performance from Jared Jones. Glasnow was also great on Tuesday with two walks, nine strikeouts, and 13 whiffs on 40 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 35 percent CSW. The right-hander has been healthy all year and dominant on the mound with a 2.93 ERA heading into a tough start against the Yankees this weekend. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:43 pm

    • Excellent again in hard-luck loss
Glasnow (6-4) was stuck with the loss Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out nine over six innings.

Advice: Jack Suwinski's solo home run in the third inning was the lone tally against Glasnow, though it proved to be enough to leave him with the loss in a 1-0 shutout defeat. Still, it was another strong outing from the 30-year-old Glasnow, who now has eight or more strikeouts in seven of his last eight starts. His ERA is down to 2.93 on the year with a 0.90 WHIP and a league-leading 104 strikeouts through 13 starts (80 innings). Glasnow's currently lined up for an intriguing road matchup with the Yankees this weekend. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:39 pm

    • Clase notches 19th save in win over Royals
Emmanuel Clase threw a scoreless ninth inning to close out an 8-5 win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Clase struck out two and walked one en route to his 19th save of the season. The right-hander has a minuscule 0.30 ERA and has been the best closer in fantasy baseball this season, earning tons of draft-day value for whoever took him in their leagues. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:21 pm
